Dude ... we have one in the family ... it’s ok but it’s a terrible long term car. Also since you want the nicer one why not wait to bank the monthly payment and get everything you want next year ?dubshow wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 11:10 amspooky dill season. Shes done well and has been very frugal. She has the new car bug and wants something nice. We've been shopping on/off for about 6 months. We've said to hold off for 1 year and bank her $500 car payment.
We've had a short list. She wants a wagon/hatch thing. She sees the allure of an suv for the future of maybe kids, after years of hating SUVs. She wants the finer things in life and shes done very well in her private practice.

amg wagonto large and $$$ plus rare
tiquanthe new one is too large. Not enough features for price point.
kia sportage? because chalupa is our friend.
cx-5 signature - on fence of looks. its kinda love hate
acura RDX PEX edition
on the entire benz line up or product line in general. Its very confusing and overlapped with models/trims/specs.
Budget ~$40k new or used.
Things I want:
- 360 camera would be REAL nice.
-heated cooled seats
-ALL THE SENSORS SO SHE DOESNT HIT SHIT. This has been an issue in the
Things she wants:
-"Girl sized" ergo for creature features. Easy to reach radio/nav.
-simple controls
-not bust steering wheel with 100k buttons.
-good design
-hid/xenon headlights
-sport looks.
She is afraid her family will "judge her" for spending money on a new car especially if it has one of the mentionedbadges. She is also torn on saving money on this paid for well maintained car and having a lil TREAT YO SELF
TL;DR
Chulpacatches a nice trade in 2017 SQ5. 24k miles. It isnt a steal. Its a trim higher than what we looked at BUT checks a LOT of boxes.
He in at $36k plus standardpack. so about $38k. MSRP was $62k. has a few good packages.
Im torn as the 2018 model gets thedigital cluster/dash with a soft update of front end lights to LED and a cleaner interior design.
I can easily upsell myself to a newer SQ5 and immediiately sought out others. I see these are selling very well and the used market is flush with them. In 1 more year the newer 2018/19 will be the same price. They lose about 50% value in 2 years.

The waiting IS a solid option. I/we are fully more inclined to wait thenhard. I also am very
on financial outlook and dont want 2 car notes if the economy goes full
If people lose jerbs, they lose insurance. Insurance is like 70% of my wifes income.
Hmm ... I mean the arguments for are ...
All valid and I see both sides. Think on it.
You didnt even put Chalupabatman on zer list... He bought a frivolous used Wrongler. Went from 0 car to car.
Lame.
