Than then Auto Bahn and it comes with the adjustable dampers and memory seats etc.

The main thing the autobahn has is the rear climate screen + heads up display from what I can gather
All of the 380s get the adjustable dampers, even the S. On the DSG cars it's only the Autobahn. The HUD is nice I guess but I don't really care about it. Definitely don't care about the rear climate controls.

I didn't drive one without the adjustable dampers, but I could tell a difference between the damper settings, yeah. Our roads here are :poop:.

I’m a bit concerned about the 19” wheels … I don’t know why oems decided to put dubs on subcompact cars

I was really worried about it too, but I found the ride acceptable on the 19s, though I agree it'd be better with 18s.

Also, found a Golf R advertised at (presumably) invoice. :nice:

I realize I'm :wrong: for liking white, but I do. I would fuck with this.

If I lived in a state that would benefit from awd I would prob like this a lot more. The near 13k price gap for the “same” car is rough for me

Me dos, also his podcasts too.
Oh :notbad: I’ll have to check these out. I don’t usually have much time for YouTube anymore these days so podcasts are always appreciated.
His recent ones are better. Dude has an air cooled 911, e39 m5, civic type r and lexus gx460

I’ve never driven a Golf R, would be interested to try it.

Went and checked this out over the weekend.

Sizable upgrade over the current :truk:
7700 lbs towing vs. 7000
430 ft lbs tq vs 295
4Wd vs. 2WD

Denali trim:
Heated steering wheel
Cooled & heated seats
Lane keep assist
Radar cruise
Modern tech
Better fit/finish

AT4 can have most of those features, plus BLOOO (Too bad they didn't continue the color for 2025)

They did add a cool color options for 2025:

I'm also debating throwing tow ratings to the wind, and getting some more interior cargo room.
I keep looking at these as well:

Reviews are good so far, but I haven't driven one.
Ranger doesn't have as many options, and has less of a towing capacity but, I would be at a loss if I didn't check one out.
Also, I think it's due for a refresh/new model sometime soon.

I think the passport will check a lot of boxes for a lot of people. Odd that it’s not going to be hybridized though. Seems like a miss anymore.

Should be a nicer riding better on road driving version of a 4Runner at the expense of being less capable off road.

I saw a purple BMW X5 xdrive 40i yesterday at the local tennis store. It was HOT. Looked that shit up and apparently it’s a custom order individual color and a $5k option. I can’t imagine spending $5k on fucking paint for a run of the mill non M X5. People around me are nuts.

:whocares: fiat money. An imaginary online “coin” aka pyramid scheme is “worth” 100k. Too bad tennis bro didn’t man up and get a Urus or a G wagen and cucked himself by a 6 banger peasant mobile

The new Passport is really intriguing. If I didn't want to tow a car, this would be the ideal solution.

max225 wrote: Fri Jan 24, 2025 3:31 pm Test drove the civic. Honestly pretty much exactly what I expected.

I would say the anus shattering ride complaints are overblown. My m3 rode worse … then again it rode worse than an STI and Focus RS as well.

Here are my takeaways:
Positive:
1. Good power; you don’t need to even shift to pass cars etc.
2. Great comfortable seats that hug you… they are simply 4.5/7
3. Great steering, super communicative, likely best steering since the brz I drove and the F430.
4. Amazing brakes, you can certainly tell that 265 series front tires with giant brembros and 3100lbs will be second to none.
5. Love the way the car looks in person.
6. Ride quality is surprisingly good

Mid:
1. Car is kinda quiet not much different from any economy shit box which it isn’t. I didn’t want to ring it out because I could already tell the power was fine and I’m mechanically sympathetic to a brand new vehicle.
2. Tech is ok at best. Backup camera etc is not great
3. Car form factor while expected has you riding super low.
4. Honestly one thing that wasn’t that great was the shifter. Opinions are like assholes I know but it was good, but 3rd gear was kinda crunchy… and frankly the gears were so close together that I can easily see someone fucking up the 1-3 shift (curious if that happens). Still the rev matching and fun aspect is great and it’s very easy to drive compared to most

Bad:
1. The road noise is bad, yes I know and I expected it but it is certainly never going to be better than on a new type r and frankly it is detracting from the experience.
2. Likely nearly impossible to get at sticker

Image
:member: me saying people can easily miss the shift because the gear shifter is really tight …

Yet another reason to never buy one of these used :(

Kind of interesting Honda has had this third gear grind problem since like 2006 or earlier. My Civic actually ate its transmission at 170K miles or so. You'd think they'd work it out.
