I don’t like to mix my workouts and my porn….

Something about being hard and trying to workout just doesn’t workout…

I prefer to workout, then :jizz:

I think mentally I am moving past a sports car in my life at the moment. I just won’t have a use for it until the kid is 3-4 years old, they it will just rot at home. So I’m thinking V8 defender, preferably used at around 70-80k, they are at 95 ish now, unless they have major miles on em. All black murdered out.

Once the bmw lease is done in just about 2 years, woman will take over the defender and I’ll get a real sports car and it’ll be the 2 car solution with the possibility of a disposable EV for commuting that can rot outside. That makes the most logical sense to me.

Why defender ? I love the way it looks and sounds and how practical it is. I can take a road trip, it fits the whole family, it sounds like a P51 mustang, it’s safe, it works for date night, it works for a fun”ish” drive around town. Yes it’s completely impractical from a depreciation and possibly maintenance perspective but … yolo. I also think the supercharged v8 will be a future classic and is one of the most reliable engines JLR has ever made

I dig the v8 defender. Cool car. Good dad mobile. I’m over the sporty car thing too. Actually my accord is too “sporty” for me and I really do prefer the CRV.

Priorities change.

There is just no time to “enjoy” a sports car and or want. If someone was to get a divorce and try and pick up a gold digger 20’years younger than oneself then yes it would be epic

I love that we're back to 'future ponderings about Fendies'. They are pretty dope, I'd say why not?

Fendie + sports car + cheapo BMW EV would be 5/7.

Coworker whose mommy bought the R53 from got a V8 LR3 a few weeks ago. Sounds like he’s loving it. He doesn’t love the color, but he found a well maintained one owned by an old person, so it’s in an old person color.

How it sat when he bought it down here in Oregon:

And now with a little lift and some custom colored powder coated wheels:

That color is kind of sweet with his wheel/tire package though. I wonder if those Ferd V8s are reliable... It seems that family has a penchant for needy vehicles :doe:

Also, would be friends with anyone who photographs their car in a Taco Bell parking lot.

Thats the thing about a good sports car; its fun everyday. If its too stiff, too hard to see out of, too uncomfortable its trying to hard to be a racekar and is less fun to own.

Yeah he did a good job on the wheel color. Said he was going for similar to the TE37 bronze.

Also, :notwrong:

Was half asleep when I typed up my last response.

My current schedule is as follows. BMW IX gets 1000 miles per month, and the Taco gets 50-100.
60 % of miles are with kid 30% of the miles are going to work 10% are leasure.
I mainly use it to go to the gym, grocery store etc. 90% of the 1100 miles or so I drive per month are either going to WORK or going with the KID. so there is very little use for a sports car.
Since I won't be able to take the kid in it for some time where it makes sense to have a back seat etc. So if I was to get a sports car and drive it to work like a lemming. I am not sure that would be all that great either. So I am really not left with much of a use case. However if I was able to address some of the fam miles... a more fun family hauler is starting to make more sense as it would occupy more miles.

I mean.., a sports car can drive to work? I’m putting a couple hundred miles on a Miata this week driving all over Ohio meeting customers.

It can also drive off road. But it doesn't mean I want to do that. Also they are lemming miles at 7am stuckin traffic and some of the worst roads in the nation. This doesn't sound like fun.

Renting one for "work" while derping around BFE sounds like a lot more fun than a Camry of course. OWNING it and dealing with that... hard pass.

:fullretard: to some idea…

Hummer EV … the suv. Seems like it checks a lot of boxes for me… and it seems like a better choice than a defender. Mainly because it’s a lease and comparing fuel+capital costs it’s $800 a month for the fendie (100k@ 5.5% + 400 a month in gas)…

The Hummer is still unique, practical, fun? Remains to be seen. And they are leasing them at $800 a month … so there is not as much of a premium to pay as for the Land Rover product….

He also said they expect to see better numbers in Sept.

Currently they're at 1195/mo with 0 down on a 2X SUV with fixed roof.

With 6k down, but that would be much cheaper over the leaze. So maybe they'll get to those numbers next month. They've had some cool colors and I even saw an orange one here that looked badass.

Im younger and im kinda feeling the same way. I landed to jfk from Turkey and rented a basic bitch mitsubishi outlander hybrid (the new one) which is a whole lot better than the one i drove few years ago as the previous gen. Getting back to an accord almost felt like getting back to an older m3, it may sound crazy cause they're completely different. I found the steering to be more heavy (at first) but shortly got accustomed to it. Doesn't help the fact that dc roads are shitty still + road work on main roadsand at times feeling like im at an offroad trail. The cuv's well, i get it now, they are truly nfg vehicles for a good reason.

Speaking of, :tits: and I may subject to move to Arlington next year and we thought about replacing the accord with the outback wilderness and mostly were together when we drive and may consider my fun car thats used, but its not gonna be miata, s2000, etc.
