Car Talk 6: Best of times and Worst of Times
There was a time when I did just that... sadly that time ain't happening again anytime soon.
I had a pretty covfefe table made out of my and a glass top.

Not really, the car came with 17's in all trims until recently anyway. The tires are an inch smaller in diameter than the fronts of a C5/6, so 17's on a BRZ gives you the sidewall of 18's on the front of a C5/6 (or 19's on the rear).CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:16 am Would you not have to go with a tire that has stiffer sidewalls in order to not give up steering response, or at the very least go with a more aggressive alignment? I know the Mickeys I have on my car are far from the best tire, but I noticed the difference in sidewall stiffness immediately even on suburban two lanes, and it kind of diluted the sports car experience.

Is there really a resale benefit with stock wheels?
I'd sell 'em.
I'd sell 'em.

In the same apartment as my table, I had a people bedroom, with chalkboard black lightning bolt graphic on all four walls, with satin leopard print sheets. It was so obnoxious but VERY popular.

If the rest of the car is bone stock maybe, but not enough to matter 5 years down the line probably.ChrisoftheNorth wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:21 am Is there really a resale benefit with stock wheels?

That would be my plan too since I've never had an resale experience like y' all. I spent $10k to drive my 86 3000 miles.ChrisoftheNorth wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:21 am Is there really a resale benefit with stock wheels?

I never had until the everything shortage, and even then, it was just two vehicles. That'll never happen again, so the car can be whatever I want ZFG.Valkyrie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:28 amThat would be my plan too since I've never had an resale experience like y' all. That said, I'm not into modding anymore. I'd probably just buy a base BRZ with the small wheels, put decent tires on them, and call it a day.

Damn that red is super hot. I think they did a really good job with the front end styling as well.
