I always use ATE which is quite a bit cheaper than RBF600 and seems to hold up great on track, so I'm sure it would work for autox nicely.

3 years of street driving. The harder you are on the car the more stuff like this it needs. I’d just do it. Can’t hurt. If you’ve boiled the fluid at all before it will help. Like I boiled the STI fluid just from street driving it hard, and it needed a flush pretty bad when I sold it off. With autocross yeah it’s probably time.

How did you do that ? Legit curious, were you just going 0-50-0 50x because you were angry at the world ? I am too, if nothing else I was reinforcing your questioning it. I have experienced brake fade going HARD on Tail of the Dragon or Angeles Crest, roads like that. Honestly I don't think I would go that hard on a street anymore. That is dangerous. 7-8/10 is plenty for 'the canyons'.

Yeah massive breaks should stay cooler which would help. The biggest thing is tires though, generally stock brakes can overwhelm stock tires so brake upgrades really don't do anything. It has big calipers but just like many other cars it needs fluid and pads if you’re going to be doing hard driving with it, especially with all the traction it generates. And the STI has a vectoring system that uses the front brakes so they’re getting worked hard regardless if you’re using the pedal or not.
I drove the car hard on back roads and would slow way down around blind turns or crests because I’m not a moron. So that worked things harder as well.

No I never changed the fluid, and the pads got butchered by a hack job shop that lied to me saying it was needed to pass inspection. I have an appointment for a brake bleed at a five star shop for the BMW, Euro specialist even. Curious to see how shitty it is. I think I'm BYOfluid and paying $159, which seems like a pretty reasonable price at least.

You saw how my 5 star Yelp brake fluid job turned out.
So I think I need to do a cable adjustment on the dieselgeek. Occasionally going into third it'll kind of miss? I don't know if it's me or the car but I'll try the adjustment based on dieselgeek's instructions. Great job by the dealer. I did have the car up in the poconos last weekend and it was very . was with me so it's not like I could go crazy but the shifter was very enjoyable through the mountains.
Also did my own investigation of the rattle by the rear right passenger seat. I put the crap they blamed it on in the front of the car and what do you know? It was still making the noise. Wow. Expert investigative work by the dealer. I'm glad they were soooo nice and didn't charge me for that. . I ended up folding the right side seat down and that "fixed" it. No more rattles over the same roads. The weight from the seat folded must be stopping it right? My next step is pulling the rear bench out to see if something is loose under there but what could it be? It's just the fuel pump under the seat. what I'll find.
Sometime next week I'll call the indy shop for alignment/brake flush.

It could be the seat back latch. Like fold the seat back down a bit, shove a rag there, and slam the seat back and latch it. So mine ended up near the latch itself. Like right under it or something.
