Some decided her Kias bumper needed to meet the passenger rear wheel of the Willys today.
Looks like the wheel is just messed up, but wifey is bringing it by a local shop this afternoon for them to put it on a lift and check for any other damage. If there isn’t any we’ll grab a fresh wheel and call it a day.
Wifey and munchkin are both fine, low speed impact.

That blows. I'd have the shop check the alignment on that axle. It could possibly need a new wheel bearing or something too.Apex wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 3:54 pm Some decided her Kias bumper needed to meet the passenger rear wheel of the Willys today.

Yeah, they can’t fit us on the alignment rack today so we’ll bring it back Monday.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 4:12 pmThat blows. I'd have the shop check the alignment on that axle. This shop is really nice and it’s within walking distance from our apartment.

Report from the shop is the Willys needs a new wheel plus wheel bearing assembly. I’m really glad there was no body damage, mechanicals like these are easy enough to replace.
We replaced the car seat too as a precaution. They say it should be replaced in any incident and it’s easy piece of mind for a few bucks.

The frame is probably tweaked if it's totaled with that damage, but outside of that it would be pretty simple to humpty dumpty.
I fucking love my JT.

This thing looks like it literally fell off a cliff, if you look at the motor the engine cover is cracked which likely suggests that either the frame got bent or the motor tore off the engine mount when this thing came down from the heavens.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:36 am Having terrible terrible thoughts about a lightly salvaged Gladiator.

I don't see a cracked engine cover...but there's certainly frame issues. Look at the gap between the fender and hood.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 1:09 pmThis thing looks like it literally fell off a cliff, if you look at the motor the engine cover is cracked which likely suggests that either the frame got bent or the motor tore off the engine mount when this thing came down from the heavens.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:36 am Having terrible terrible thoughts about a lightly salvaged Gladiator.
