I've never had free coffee at any workplace, don't think the wife has either. it's likely to be terrible anyway unless you work at Google, the worst employer in the world.
I've never worked at a company that didn't have free coffee... seems like a stupid cheap thing to provide to make employees feel more valued and be less tired.
We have decent stuff here as well as lots of tea options, including chai.
Chai tea lattes are one of the very few things I’d get from Starbucks. Was convenient when one was across the street, but I’ve heard there is one in the building next to the one I work in.
They’re a nice warm treat in the winter, which I’ll walk to get without gloves.

Big companies are getting rid of them for cost savings. When I was at Chevrolet, they were discontinuing free coffee by facility...and when it came to the HQ people went
The head of Chevrolet ended up getting an exception somehow and brought it Keurig machines with a selection of k cups. Was but the waste made me
You should hear about the coffee complaints we had...
“Not enough flavors”
“Too much trash”
“We want a bigger tea selection”
“Where is the chai” the smell of chai me

Small cup of coffee in a paper cup with a lid.
My thumb literally covering the drink hole while driving.
25% of it still ended up flying out on my 25 min commute.
Coffee all over my center console as far up as the shift boot.
This is America.
Wawa?
The trick is to put the white lid on first and then the black lid on top. The white lid will seal for the commute, and then you can discard and use the black lid, which is superior for drinking. This practice will leave Greta all
BUT... no coffee spillage.

big and tiny companies/offices. Even if it was a home style coffee maker, there was coffee around. Current office spends nearly $1400/mo for about 120 employees on 2 floors. And we sometimes here the "woes" of management and costs.

$11.60 per person per month... or 40 cents a day.. seems more than acceptable.

Since I handle soft services, I spend $5-$6k/month in provided coffee for one building of 600 people. In 2017, I did a report on coffee spend from January through October for 18 sites and the free coffee total came to over $730,000, which equates to roughly $135/person.
K-Cups are the worst, though. We switched to bean-to-cup machines that solve the flavor complaints and the trash complaints in one go. They require extra maintenance, but the coffee is good and grounds are the only waste.

That I'm depressed and my life isn't what I want it to be.
I just got back from a week in Houston and then a few days in Joshua Tree for my brother's wedding. People were asking me about how my job was going and the honest answer is it's fucking stupid. How's Philly was the next question, and the answer was that it pretty much is blah at this point and I'm ready to move out of the area. Didn't help that Joshua Tree was gorgeous and the drive to/from was through the middle of fucking nowhere with roads that are in much better shape than anything I drive around here.
Also just being flat out overwhelmed with stuff that's available and not caring to own anything in the category I'd want to buy in, if that makes any sense at all. Like, I want a dopey automatic good on gas aintcaremobile that rides nice, handles decently well, 4+ doors, quiet, decent stereo, prefer AWD, etc. And literally nothing is exciting about that. The Hyundai I rented was close I guess.
Go test drive stuff, sure, I have anxiety about that. I hate doing it so much it's inexplicable. Ends up being a colossal waste of time and a bunch of pressure to buy something that I could literally not give two shits about.
I hate being depressed.
Dude, just come visit. I've got all the cars you're considering and I'll just throw you keys and a plate. No pressure, brah.
That's a really nice thing to do IMO, you're a good man
When Chevy first announced the long-awaited mid-engine C8 Corvette, it said the car would be arriving in customer's hands by the end of 2019. Well, that's no longer the case. A Chevrolet spokesperson confirmed to Road & Track the C8 has been delayed until February 2020.
The delay is a result of several factors. A six-week UAW strike meant the end of the last-gen C7's production would be pushed back. Moreover, the Bowling Green assembly plant needs additionally time to retool its facilities, as well as hire and train a second shift.
