Live stream that beeyotch. I would have to say...
if an average person is about a 2/10 on the car "guy" scale....males being closer to 3 and females closer to 1....
Most "car" guys at work are around 5ish
You guys are around 7ish...
Jay leno is a 10...
so... yea... Um... most people are far below this forum... lets hear it.
"Subarus last a really long time"
"I would never drive a minivan... the Honda Pilot is really nice though"

I mentioned that the current line of Mazderp CUVs are :nice: and it didn't seem to carry much weight.
:notwrong: on all 3... Subarus are great 0-100k or 0-7/8 years. Which is a "really long time" in everyones mind...
Honda pilot although a minivan doesn't look like one... so win win...
Mazderps are nice... but "WTF IS A MAZDA"

That I'm depressed and my life isn't what I want it to be.

I just got back from a week in Houston and then a few days in Joshua Tree for my brother's wedding. People were asking me about how my job was going and the honest answer is it's fucking stupid. How's Philly was the next question, and the answer was that it pretty much is blah at this point and I'm ready to move out of the area. Didn't help that Joshua Tree was gorgeous and the drive to/from was through the middle of fucking nowhere with roads that are in much better shape than anything I drive around here.

Also just being flat out overwhelmed with stuff that's available and not caring to own anything in the category I'd want to buy in, if that makes any sense at all. Like, I want a dopey automatic good on gas aintcaremobile that rides nice, handles decently well, 4+ doors, quiet, decent stereo, prefer AWD, etc. And literally nothing is exciting about that. The Hyundai I rented was close I guess.

Go test drive stuff, sure, I have anxiety about that. I hate doing it so much it's inexplicable. Ends up being a colossal waste of time and a bunch of pressure to buy something that I could literally not give two shits about.

I hate being depressed.

People basically shop on looks, size, price, and a few key features like AWD or heated seats or car play or whatever.
Mazdas never come up because they're pricier than the others at trim levels with those one or two key things, and nobody cares about driving dynamics anyway.
The Hyundai I rented can be bought for $20,630. A Mazda3 with ACP is $23,620. That's a pretty wide rift and for most people that Hyundai will fit the bill just fine and do it getting much better gas mileage. Or if they do have $23k they can get into a Sonata.

It's the same issue Mazda has had for a long time.

I see, well to be fair those roads were nice, but frankly no one fking lives there which is why they are nice. 29 palms is a shithole... its literally terrible... as with any other city around that Park. Sure its beautiful to visit... but living... :nope:

That's the story with cali roads, middle of no where A-B roads. Congested roads are always C at best and mostly D status... pot holes to bend wheels/the works.

I honestly don't see the issue with selling the STI if it brings you nothing, and just getting an interim car that is good enough for derping. There are so many good options out there... older JGC, etc that are still interesting enough but don't require any sort of headache if you get fucked.

Renegayde should be fine for your needs in the interim.

Something like that will allow you to throw 10k in the bank and still :aintcare: about anything.

They are terrible city options and the equivalent of setting money on fire. A city car should not be over 20k.... that’s just wrong. It’ll get fked up and depreciate into oblivion

Some areas seem to offer some suburban areas that are close... our new place will be decent for this, access to the train and a 10 minute ride downtown, can walk to some things, but we'll still have a cool 0.22 acres. It's expensive for a small house with a carport :doe:

Very true. Where we live is similar. We're on nearly a half acre, and you sure do pay for that space.

Yeah, I do understand. We went to :tits: dad's new mountain house in VA this weekend. It is in the middle of nowhere, no cell service, nearest gas station/store is like 15-20 minutes drive, but beautiful place. $130K furnished with 4.5 acres of land. I loved it, she was :notsure: ... we will probably never go back as it will now always make her think of the :doge: dying.

Listening to non-car people discuss vehicles is worse than listening to wannabe car people talk about their vehicles at car shows. At least the latter is entertaining, whereas the former puts me to sleep.

We have it pretty good in Charlotte with the mountains about 75 minutes away and tons of biking trails locally.

I just get :triggered: because I could legit help them out getting a better vehicle/deal but I will sound like a know-it-all douche bag if I say anything, so I just sit there and :nope: :disgust:

My buddy's brother actually bought a CX5 on my recommendation, it was a bit gratifying. He was going to get a CRV and I went all :disgust:
