Despite have an earlier R56, I agree with basically everything.
One thing - your recommendation for a 2013 JCW would mean R56 and they’re less car than the F56, but also slightly more fun. The engine is a gamble however, especially if it’s a <2013 JCW or <2011 Poop S with the even more poopy N14.
First MY F56 (2014) is also to be avoided so stick to 2015 or later.
At times I think I should have spent a few more and gotten myself a 2015 F56 S but all in all, I’m really happy with my 2013.
Perhaps I’ll upgrade to a F56 JCW when they drop even further in price.

I do love these things. Wish the cheez one worked out with Z. It was more than I wanted to spend but I knew I was getting a solid price and went with Z's recommendations. When it fell through I was legit And that was just a cheez yellow school bus 2 door Pooper S with sport pack and MT and HK audio. Would have been an awesome car.
Glad you're liking it man. I should look into these, maybe a 4 door would be a good car for me. Good engines, good transmissions, good size, easy to park, fun and quirky.

I really couldn't get past the looks of the 4 door. And the back seat is about as unusable as on the 2 door, so there is really no point. You get added weight/uglier looks, and very little if any beneshit.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 8:30 pm I do love these things. Wish the cheez one worked out with Z. They are so similar looking, I am not 100% sure on what all the upgrades are on the F vs the R. Looks like I'll need to do some reading.Swedish Chef wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 4:33 pm Despite have an earlier R56, I agree with basically everything.

I am really surprised that I don't miss the M3 much if at all, something about that car was just, not the best for DD'ing. I miss 2 things with that car, exhaust (about to be fixed), and back seat space... that's a real downside for me as I am currently in a clown car... Would be interesting to see how that evolves. My sister is coming from Germany for a week, and her + me + Azn should be an interesting combo in the mini. Azn is a midget so she should be able to sit in the back.

Agreed on the four doors... meh. Not like a Golf where they rook same, it is all off in proportions on the MINI.

I followed a F56 Pooper S with aftermarket exhaust. Gray with red roof, but the body was a shade darker than yours. We both drove down the road making popopopop sounds, albeit I have to try much harder than he did to make it happen.

What about a Countryman or Paceman? They seem to have depreciated very nicely.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 8:30 pm I do love these things. Wish the cheez one worked out with Z. If he was considering cars like the brand new outback turbo and RAV4 hybrid, then the new Clubman is in that same price bracketet and is basically a full fledged wagon now.Detroit wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 8:59 amWhat about a Countryman or Paceman?
