Carmageddon for Tesla Model 3: US Deliveries Plunge 55% to 60% from Q4, Laid-off Delivery Employees tell Reuters
by Wolf Richter • Feb 9, 2019 • 94 Comments
Most everyone in the US who ever wanted & could afford a high-priced Model 3 now has one? Pent-up demand for luxury cars in the era of Carmageddon is a tricky thing, especially when tax credits phase out.

The comments are as 'interesting' as the article over all. Interesting debate and viewpoints on Tesla and E in general.

The comments are full of old 's that would rather drive their beat ass Luminas and Tauruses and VW Westfalias they bought for $1k than spend $60k on a new high tech luxury car. I think a lot of people want Tesla to fail just because they cannot afford the vehicles.Davestr wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 3:08 am Carmageddon for Tesla Model 3: US Deliveries Plunge 55% to 60% from Q4, Laid-off Delivery Employees tell Reuters

Offing the minivan for a new crossover thing that's worse in every way for your needs makes zero sense.

The luxury car market in general is only so big. I really do think that demand has been satiated, and all these waiting for the "cheap" Model 3 (that will never come) is in for a long (forever) wait.Davestr wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 3:08 am Carmageddon for Tesla Model 3: US Deliveries Plunge 55% to 60% from Q4, Laid-off Delivery Employees tell Reuters

Any form of is This has been well established, and doing it under the guise of reduced monthly cashflow or whatever is just folly.
