House Plac: From Bag End to Balls Deep

Also, contractor is claiming stucco will be done this weekend. I don't see how, but if he accomplishes that, the garage will be almost complete. Just need to paint the stucco, which will likely have to wait until the spring due to temps. My painter is a great stand-up guy, so that'll be NBD.

Electrical being installed tomorrow. They trenched a few weeks ago and dropped the lines, and scheduled to complete work on 12/11 and 12/12. Dude called me and said they had a cancellation and asked if they could come out to start finishing tomorrow. :fuckyeah: 100amp service to the garage...mostly ...

Moab is alright I guess. I dunno. Strange town, very strange. But lots of off roady stuff to do out there. The MTB scene is overblown honestly, it's too fucking hot and there's no shade. Mostly a bucket list kinda thing. Offroad Mecca kinda deal. I'm debating driving my truck out for the Easter Jee...

Yeah, that's my whole point. Need to kill some DeWalt tools so I can justify the move.

I'm really impressed with the Milwaukee ecosystem. If I didn't already have a bunch of DeWalt stuff, I'd probably switch over. Yeah, that's my whole point. Need to kill some DeWalt tools so I can justify the move. That's the bad (good?) thing...DeWalt tools are durable AF. My dad has a cordless dri...

Hm, I wonder if the escrow really can be dissolved. I threatened to not escrow and was informed that our rate would go up at least a quarter of a percentage point. down here they simply will not underwrite a loan without escrow Right...I'm talking about after it's all done. I looked into it before ...

Our loan processor finally told us changes could be made after the Closing Disclosure was signed, so we went ahead and gave our e-signatures since we had to have 3 days between acknowledgement and when we can go to closing. We shall see. Another fun little happening last night, though. Yesterday we...

Holy hell...you just can't catch a break. If it were me, I'd probably just deal with the higher cost at closing and battle it later. That extra $1k for taxes would just end up in your escrow acct as an overage at some point...same with the higher mortgage payment. After closing, I'd ask to dissolve...

:mahtroy: luck continues. There's a 3 day waiting period between when the buyer accepts the Closing Disclosure (how much we have to bring to closing) and when we can actually go to closing. We close Friday, so that day is today. We received our Closing Disclosure at 2:30pm, but of course there was ...

Does your city offer sewer pipe warranties? In my last city, they worked with a company to offer sewer line replacement warranties. It was ~$100/year...but it covered full replacement if needed.
