Here's meh 2016 WRX Limited TRD:
It's a great daily driver as far as being quick, returning great gas mileage, having phenomenal handling as far as maintaining traction, and having a luxurious interior with butt hotteners. Here are some of the pros and cons imo:
Pros:
- Very quick
- Unflappable handling
- Phenomenal gas mileage (over 20 mpg in the city, close to 30 mpg on the freeway)
- Classy interior when optioned out
- Came with a free Monster Energy hat
- Gets a lot of compliments
Cons:
- Unflappable handling
- Throttle mapping is AWFUL, 30% throttle equals WOT, no exaggeration.
- Quiet exhaust, needs soundaktor and/or UEL headers
- Needs LSD in dah rear
- Paint is really cheap/easily blemishes compared to other cars I've owned
Honestly, this car is boring me to death, and one of the main reasons is that the traction is too good. There is no fun to be had other than quick acceleration, it will do anything I want it to other than having a soul. It's a robot that goes fast and will contend with whatever hamfisted maneuvers I tell it to do with ease, other than getting sideways or rotating at all. Even in a snowy parking lot, this car fights you if you try to induce any rotation, it wants to shoot straight the second that you give it any throttle, and this makes it an incredibly boring car to attempt to dick around in. It's great on the street, but is extremely annoying if you're trying to take it to the limit with the car fighting you.
I think I may sell it soon, but that would mean taking about a $4000 loss. I could keep it for a year and take about the same amount of loss, so I might as well just keep it as long as I can endure (oh, the humanity). I miss my Abarf.

The handling is really good, and the exhaust note is hilarious. And the price can't be beat. It's fun that you can go WOT everywhere without breaking the law, and the wailing exhaust note and pops makes you want to. I wish more engineers of performance cars put some effort into the exhaust system, becuase it adds a lot to a car.Big Brain Bradley wrote:tell this to dubshow, he was looking at abarfsSixSpeeder wrote:

Italians seem to be the only ones who make sure that their cars sound great... and the Mustang guys actually. Even the ecoballz rustang sounds pretty good.

WRX has no engine sound with the stock exhaust.[user not found] wrote:Oh he wasn't talking about the WRX, breh.Johnny_P wrote: Major reason why I love my STI
STI will make your ears bleed at 1500 RPM and burbles like hell. Tons of turbo noise too. It's
Abarth is even better than STI in that regard. Would like to test out an Abarth.

If I had a garage a 4C would be on the short list to test drive. Especially after watching Matt Farahs one take on it. Fucking machine[user not found] wrote:I kinda want a 4C because it's a mid-engined Abarth with no power steering.Johnny_P wrote: WRX has no engine sound with the stock exhaust.

Only downside is it's DCT only, but it's still gotta be a fun car.
Looks sexy too

Maybe? I might be getting old here. But the STI is probably my MT swan song. Go out with an incredible trans. A shit MT just sucks to use.[user not found] wrote:You'd have to drive like a to make up for the lack of doe.Johnny_P wrote:I could be ok with a DCT in a car like that. Loud exhaust, immediate turn in, steering feel, etc. would be enough involvement to forego the MT involvement.

This is why I don't do automatics, they become all WOT all the time.

But if the 4C is as shitty as the Elise then it's off the list. Reports are that it's better as a car than the Elise was but maybe not much better.
The Elise was the shittiest car I've ever driven. Fun when you're having fun in it. Garbage otherwise.
