This.

Everyone post some good news.
1.) Home schooling the kids, I see progress in both of them and my uncontrollable 4 y/o is actually becoming controllable.

2.) Saving 5-7k by donating my time to a project that would otherwise get outsourced (see home thread), this essentially breaks even with me working for a month.

3.) The weather is getting warmer and the biking/outdoor shit with kids is helping me lose weight too

4.) People are generally becoming kinder and more aware of each other, like people actually making eye contact when they see one another (from a distance), I feel like this event will change how people interact with one another for years to come
I feel you on #2 so hard.

This weekend I'll start painting and will probably end up painting my house myself. Materials will be about $1500 for new siding plants, and soffit boards.

I'm not sure what I'll replace that old metal awning with. Maybe something else like that.

I can, just not in the city center/crowded areas. Fortunately I'm staying at more non-touristy part of the city, think of like northern Miami Beach. So not that much patrolling there. I did a 10 miler today.

:nice:

I just have to avoid our green ways, they are packed :disappoint: But there are plenty of roads that are mostly empty. There are people walking but more than enough space to stay on the opposite side of the road from them.

One thing I saw while biking this morning was lots of construction workers on active job sites not social distancing/using masks.

I also saw a wedding today who aren't social distancing either, with about 50 people on my run :disgust: but lots of zilhuge spec cyclists doe, makes me wanna get one. Parks are closed, people still can go to banks, get takeouts/deliver, I can still get coffee only a few places, but one customer inside at a time. Anyone up to 20 year olds are banned to go out, along with 65+, sometimes cops check id's of those who fit the profile if they feel like it. If no facemask, you'll be fined. People go ham with disinfection here

My cycling shorts are baggy now. Which is odd. I'm eating a ton of food at home just maybe not as many overall calories.
Dude, how did you manage to lose weight? You... don’t have anything to lose.
I should just drink more calories to make up for the deficit.

Mandatory masks, why isn't North America adopting this concept? Gotta kill off the :okboomer: and get that wealth transfer :lolol:

The company is actually rebranding partially because of those implied association.

Rocket Mortgage is the big one, the parent company is Rock Central.

Because Mr Trump couldn't get a hold of a phone call with Covid so he'll demand to end the virus by easter.

Also Turks have a culture of panic and it's because of that we have gotten less than even some states in Murica so far. I saw a few stories on snap and instagram that how some people are not still social distancing, makes me :disgust:

Assuming the money is there...
Two reasons:
1) for my role specifically, I need to be taken seriously at every level internally and externally. Title is critical to that
2) I like to show career progression on my resume.

I took a step down in title for more money before and would again, but it make #1 SUPER difficult.
That makes sense... They changed my title to something :derp: recently and I'm just leaving it as-is in my email signature and resume. Fuck it. I know what I actually do at my job.

It's weird... refinancing is a huge opportunity right now, but combined with so many people likely not paying mortgages, it's a tough spot. Many places like your company, just sell the mortgages as fast as they can to the .gov. that happened to my last mortgage and the refi we just did. The question is if the fed will keep buying them in this climate.
