I suspect that one could make a 328 be awesome to drive with the right wheel/tire/shock/swaybar/alignment package. That's pretty much the case for every car.

I know nothing about Ferraris, but I feel like options would be really limited for shocks, swaybars, and increased alignment adjustment.

I think my friend got his for $40k like 10 years ago or something.

It's an interesting car and "fun" in a nostalgic way. It's pretty shit to drive, in all reality.
Is it ? I thought they handled ok, and sounded good. Never driven one. The best driving/handling car I ever drove was a F430
They sound alright. They don't scream like an F355 or something. They're also not exactly fast, a stock MK6 is about as quick as it. The shifter requires :sawce: to :massles: it into gear which is annoying at best. It's also imprecise, and with a metal gate above it, it can be a real pain in the dick to shift the thing. The revs drop immediately as you put the clutch in too, so that combined with the wonky shifter that takes a while to shift, means you have to rev match up and down the gear box.

Handling is a little boaty and vague, but that could probably be changed with shocks and tires. Tires might be a bit hard to find now, stock ones had pretty beefy sidewalls that are out of style now. You sit way lounged back because of the roofline, and the steering wheel is fixed in position. Your knuckles will hit the gauge hood as you turn the wheel, since its pointed at the roof like a bus for reasons that nobody knows.

I dunno. Its better than the stupid AC Cobra was, but that isn't saying much. It's way worse to drive than a Cayman S. The Cayman was way more direct, engaging, slayed it in handling, better driving position, better shifter and clutch, faster, and sounded just as good.

:notwrong: but you can always remove grip from the rear to make a nose-heavy car have good balance. The typical example is a huge rear sway bar on an FF car.

The 2021 Mach 1 is intriguing.

Pricing starts at just under $53k, but it gets bits from both the GT350 and GT500, including the Tremec 6 speed.

Right? With all of the complaints of the GT's 6 speed, one would think that Ford would have just thrown the Tremec in the entire V8 lineup, if not the entire lineup.

Funny, I found the F430 was a little disappointing, although my drive in it was pretty short. I would rather have a Cayman S to be honest. Or a Lotus anything. I feel like for this type of thing, an Evora is pretty tough to ignore. You can get one for $50K easily all day long, they will turn just as many heads as a Ferrari, they're pretty reliable/"easy to own" comparatively, and based on my experience driving an Elise and an F430, I bet the Evora drives better than many Ferraris.

I hope they sell a ton of them. I might want one in 15 years. Super cool car. The GT350 engine seems to have exotic car reliability issues, so I would prefer the Coyote personally. They still can do 8000 RPM and sound great.

I drove an Evora when they first came out and was pleasantly surprised by how well I fit. Felt similar to a 911 in terms of spaciousness to me, and that's a good thing.

I've kept an eye on them for a while hoping they'd come down in price...they can be a great bargain if you find the right car.

No idea if the auto is any good, but this is fantastic value.

I fit in an Elise without issue (getting in/out is a bitch though for someone my size). I haven't been in an Evora, but I think I'd choose one over the Elise. The Elise was the best driving car I've experienced but it is just a little bit too hardcore to enjoy anything other than mountain roads and track days.

156k miles. Hell of gamble on that, but hard to lose at that price.

:iono: it has the IMS fix. Porches seem to be really well built to me, never really heard of one wearing out due to mileage. I kinda love higher miles stuff like that that can just be beat on NFG.
