Thanks bro.
@Detroit, this was his response
1 3/4 allll day
I don’t have tri y pfadts
But similar Lg. I lose probably 15 hp up top but 20-30 gain down low
Interesting. I didn't know LG made tri-y headers. I'll need to research more.
Dude on Facebook is selling 1 7/8 Pfadt tri-ys. I think I'll pass. My 1 3/4 XS Power are probably the same result.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

1968 427/390hp
4spd
8x,xxx miles
Engine was rebuilt around 10 years/1000 miles ago, bored .030 over iirc
Interior is original but previous owner died it black (was blue) and should be replaced, as well as the top.
I was told this is the problem spot for rust but I don't know

Just wondering how the LT1 low and mid-range torque feels compared to the LS7 in the heavier convertible. My dad wants to sell his C3 for a newer Corvette but is afraid the torque of the BBC has spoiled him.
I'm sure he'll forget about the torque when he is ripping it up to 7K and is able to return some semblance of fuel economy.

Oh wow. This is tempting.

so how bout that fucked electrical system on the c8 vette or whatever the new GM mid engine thing is.
Kind of sad it took them so long to find out. I think they're making a mistake by removing it from NAIAS because of this, which leads me to believe that isn't the only issue. I guess it's still better than another C7Z cooling type situation?

All speculation.

Ah, yes...the dorman LS6 probably does have some room for improvement, but I've heard they can be pretty solid. I wouldn't spend much effort/money on porting the TB tho.
We also have shitty roads, but I just couldn't stand the 4x4 ride height. I lowered mine just a tad so that the wheel gap is even all the way around the wheel, and I think it's made a big difference visually with marginal impact on ride quality.
Gandalf does look good, doe.
This was over the fall, but yes Gandalf the Brub.

Hnng I need some c5 Z wheels 100%
They might be my favorite wheels ever. Love the design. Just hard to find matching sizes front and rear. Not that many wide 17s anymore.

I want the Alcoas. I think if I got the Speedlines I'd always know in the back of my mind they aren't what I wanted.
Edit: Nah I'd still take the Speedlines
The difference between alcoa's and speedlines are barely noticeable. Speedlines are much easier to come by too, and have no disadvantages (like the cracking thin spokes).

So far just headers, CAI, LS6 manifold, and rear gears. Don't want to go too far until I get the time to enjoy the car's GT qualities a little bit. My ultimate end goal for C5 ownership was destroked 8000rpm screamer, but I'm years and years off that.

That's a bit more involved
Have some fun with the C5 at least.
