That is a really rig that you posted earlier then! Sucks about the stigma in your area though...

It doesn't help that it is bright whorange. VS something a bit more tame. Its weird... it is far more ecologically friendly than a new jeep. Since it is used and all... but hey.... Can't fix a liberal lynch mob.

Is it really a toy though? People DD these things all the time. It has far more utilitarian value than any MCar, and these are also DD'd. A JKU or JLU is a right sized SUV with a little flair, and vast sales confirm this. Z's JKU is not a toy. It's how he gets around. Your view is . Why is a JLU a toy and a Tahoe isn't?max225 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 7:03 pmNice JKs used to be mid 30s but they are certainly mid 20/high 20s now. 26-29k gets you a sub 50k mile JKU Sport or Sahara. Rubicunts do command a premium. But overall that seems like an insane amount to pay for a toy. Yes things like rubicons/sports cars are toys to me as they serve a different purpose from basic transport.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 6:20 pm
Yeah man, I've shopped "affordable" before and it's rough. A nice TJ is like $15-20K which is insane for a 20 year old ox cart. JKs are pretty high too, but it seems like there may be a sweet spot in the high 20s/low 30s for nice ones. I'd probably just go new or just skip Wranglers all together though.

They are both toys. Anything above basic transport is. my m3 is a toy as well. The issue is, if you have to dump it to get something cheaper... cuz you have crotchfruit etc and can't get to work.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 2:01 pmIs it really a toy though? Dudebro responded... to my text and not my email... he is about 3 hrs out... round trip. He claims to have had it for 3 years... ignored my maintenance questions... how to proceed. One upside is .. he has an iphone... so at least it isn't a full on murder set up

Text and e-mail are the same to me. I don't understand people that can't respond to e-mails.

That was strike 1
Strike 2 was ignoring my simple questions.
"Hey i am interested in your H3, how long have you had it and do you have maintenance records"?

Yep, a reminder of your BMW shenanigans. Now a hummer h3 was the most repossessed car in this country... for a period of time. With an illustrious history as such... this is going to be relatively tough.
