Id love to have this if it isn't an automatic. My uncle used to have the clownshoe 2001 with the 3.0i which they changed the engine in mid gen and 2001 was the first year for it.

I dont know how exactly are the autos on this one in particular, but i also recently watched the top gear middle east special where there was a prelci z3 with a slower engine, and that transmission was taking an eternity to shift.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 12:53 pmAn absolute boomer spec. I am kind of cooling off on the whole
till I die life... is it REALLLY that much more enjoyable to drive that thing with a 5 speed? Seems like a cruiser to me
Im not really all about manual till i die, if it has maybe a dual clutch or a zf8, i would've probably messaged the owner already.

M would be even better. My uncle was hooning the shit out of his with the manual and i figured it would be fun. That was when i was a high school freshmen when he had it and i was educated on how traction control works.Melon2.0 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 1:07 pm3.0L would be dope, that's the engine with a 5-MT I'd like. Also, I'd want a roadster, never had a hardon for the shoe.

As my current take on manuals, i can concede, even after my
i found older or old school
to be way more enjoyable. After renting the Jimny in Iceland, even though it may be a modern car, it does not feel that modern. Same goes for a 2012 nissan micra i rented for 35 euro's a day from our hotel in a Greek island.
I could only think a few manual cars that are modern enthusiasts vehicles that i would be considering. I really liked my turo cooper jcw rental my second favorite rental up to date, griffs supra, type r, bronco, and blackwang's.

I thought about nb miata's although i may need a racing seat to be a little more comfortable.
Thanks to Euro emmisions, this is how i sat comfortably without my knee touching the dash in the Jimny rental.

Ooof, I'm 6'-2" and usually assume people are smaller than me. That looks so uncomfortable.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 3:12 pmI said modern I also really like miata's, but me in my linebacker heightrf is kinda my go to

I didn't mean an NB in particular, just thought a Miata deserved a spot on your "good manuals" list.

Yeah but you're gonna have to spend some money on it to make it truly reliable. New airshocks or coilover replacements, refurb the wheels, pdr etc. etc. If one of those airshocks fails on you its flatbed tow time. Ask me how I know.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 5:15 pmStolenCaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 10:07 am https://carsandbids.com/auctions/K1dAMO ... e550-sedan

Car was driving 4000 miles in the last 4 years... interesting... The first and second owner kept it at the best area on the planet for weather and serviced exclusively at the stealer.

Honestly makes me wish I didn’t ‘have to have’ a manual.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 5:15 pmStolenCaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 10:07 am https://carsandbids.com/auctions/K1dAMO ... e550-sedan

It was more like what manual cars im looking at, miata didn't hit my radar at all. I did once get in to the ND at the 2020 dc car show, luckily I was able to fit.... doable with the top down. If I was ANY more larger in heightMelon2.0 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 7:59 pmOoof, I'm 6'-2" and usually assume people are smaller than me. I've also follow thecanyoncarver and he drives a lotus elise, but getting in and out looks more challenging than the miata and probably even smaller.

I'd love to own an Elise though one day though, but that is def not a primary car.
