Can 100 confirm, pide is pretty much like a football shaped turkish pizza that can hold a candle to a traditional pizza and just minced ground beef meat right on the surface of it, which is basically a thick crust lahmacun, mainly due to the minced meat "pizza" that you can also wrap it like a burrito or spray lemon

Kept being told that those of us outside the 50 mile radius of one of our legacy buildings would get a later RTO date after offices with available space were uncertified for us. The date for everyone else has been 2/24. We all just got emailed with “hey we found you a space at X location. Be there Monday 2/24.” So now we’ve got four days to figure out our childcare situation and working out schedules. Fun.

Not terribly far, 11 miles and roughly 25 minutes for the commute. I don’t mind that part.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 5:27 pmHow’s the job hunt and how far is this location?SAWCE wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 5:07 pm Kept being told that those of us outside the 50 mile radius of one of our legacy buildings would get a later RTO date after offices with available space were uncertified for us. Job hunt has been pretty dead. I haven’t been super active with it as I’d like to ride out all these changes and make it to the other side. I’ve put in a small handful of applications though. Crickets on that end. Bossbro has gotten several rejections and one interview. A few other friends including the one laid off by Microsoft have also either not gotten any responses or gotten rejections. I’ll keep casually applying for stuff just to hopefully not be caught with my pants down and trying to run in the event that I’m laid off during these RIFs.

Oh yeah, we’ll get through one way or another. Ideally that’s without having a job change, but I’ll take that as it comes. I like the idea of going state/local government, so that’s where I’ve been focusing my search a bit more.

I guess CA area started chicken genocide earlier, clear miss on my part re: pricing. I did post in the covid thread that they would try to ratchet up this birdflu thing, so chalk that one up in the W column for oldemax225 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2025 10:30 amI’m still mad you didn’t believe me when I was bitching about this back in Decembergolftdibrad1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2025 10:24 am https://www.malone.news/p/fox-in-the-he ... a-bird-flu
