We haven’t seen a pardon as sweeping as Hunter Biden’s in generations
the president’s pardon covers all “offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in” from Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 1, 2024.
The final lie has been fulfilled

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced his resignation as leader of the ruling Liberal Party.

“I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister, after the party selects its new leader,” the 53-year-old told reporters at a press conference in Ottawa on Monday.

The entirely predictable thing is happening, and while I can feel sorry for a person, I don't feel bad for the people. Kind of like "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. "
https://boriquagato.substack.com/p/a-cr ... competence
"it’s getting really, really dangerous to live any longer with this illusion that there are experts in charge and that we should trust them. keep that up and pretty soon your pronouns are going to be “was/were.”

My prediction: LA never fully recovers from this, much like NOLA still has yet to fully recover from Katrina.

It's gonna be a mess. I have not done a real investigation into Florida in terms of what homes are completely uninsurable by virture of the hurricanes, but there is a lot of high end stuff there. I don't know whether it just costs an arm and a leg to insure or whether people self insure. Ok, so you're a guy with relatively limitless funds. Your 25 million dollar house got burnt to the ground and that's a drop in the bucket for you. Even if it was fully insured, are you going to rebuild in the same spot and now self insure? There's a lot of nice places to live in the world, I think I'd find another one.

One thing's for sure, Joe Six Pack is outta there, he's not going to rebuild and then self insure his place against a repeat event.

Yea its going to be interesting for sure. With overregulation in CA the burned areas gonna look like the 9th ward in NOLA 15 years later too, money be dammed.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The 9th Ward is and was one of the poorest areas in America. This is one of the richest areas in America. But the uninsurability of the rebuild is gonna be the Catch 22.
There will be endless bitching and unhappiness though. That is for sure.

9th ward is far from the only place that has not bounced back.

uninsurability will be a huge confounding factor, I suspect it will look something like LA's flood insurance and / or the national flood ins program where its somewhat state run, but will come with so many caveats very little gets rebuilt, again much like in NOLA at first. They had to back off some of the insane requirements to get things moving.

The final act of the biden cartel. 3 more days.
Joe Biden's handlers are looting the Treasury on the way out. Now, granted, it's very normal for deposed dictators to fly out pallets of cash as they scamper off to Moscow or Dubai or Delaware.

In Joe's case, he's in line to push $2 trillion out the door before Trump takes office on January 20th, 800 [billion] of which will be deficit. Now, $2 trillion is over 30 percent of the annual budget, meaning Trump will have to trim spending for the rest of the year just to break even. Now, lower spending mechanically subtracts from reported GDP, which makes Trump look bad. In fact, it could knock almost 2 percent off GDP growth.

Beyond looting the republic to sabotage Trump is what Joe is dumping the money into. You guessed it: donors.

St. Onge goes on to discuss the kinds of things Biden is spending the money on, including green energy and "climate justice," sectors that vote overwhelmingly if not exclusively for Biden's party.

I added up the numbers for our cherished, specially abled readers in Portland. Based on Elon’s chart, the total count of active SSNs is 398 million. That means there are +64 million more active SSNs than the entire population of the United States (334 million).
Let me say it again: sixty-four million zombies.
I think we need an explanation, and some indictments.

First, the order began with the shot-heard-round-the-Swamp. The war on the Deep State has entered its public phase. Trump’s forces fired on Fort Sumter. It was an open declaration of war:

image 6.png
Boom. “It is the policy of my Administration … to commence the deconstruction of the overbearing and burdensome administrative state. Ending Federal overreach and restoring the constitutional separation of powers is a priority of my Administration

The “overbearing and burdensome administrative state?” That’s a synonym for the Swamp, the Deep State. Trump is commencing its deconstruction.

Section two begins the order. “Agency heads shall, in coordination with their DOGE Team Leads and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, initiate a process to review all regulations … for consistency with law and Administration policy.”
emphasis mine.

This is great, I love it, its better than i ever realistically hoped.

I look in from time to time because this is an entertaining section of the forum.

Besides, after reading this, I doubt reconciliation is on the agenda, not that I would even want it.
Specifically the last line. Can't really recover from that one, bud.
golftdibrad1 wrote: Mon May 01, 2023 12:49 pm Forget apologizing and asking for our forgiveness. They’re still shunning us. They cannot possibly still believe they were right, so they must just be too afraid to admit the truth.

Which makes sense.

Some say they still are cowards

"So. They were cowards.

Cowardice is forgivable.

And they were wrong.

Being wrong is forgivable.

But at this point their inability to admit the truth - if not to us, to themselves - that’s not forgivable."

Yes Alex, its ignorance at this juncture.

"Where I stand, as of May 1, 2023.

I no longer expect apologies from anyone. If my friends want to pretend the last three years didn’t happen, I am okay pretending. I will never really trust them again, unless they admit the truth or at least show some understanding of how wrong they were. But when you have long histories with people, and you know their flaws, and they know yours, you have to make allowances, just as they do for you.

What I am NOT willing to do any longer is suffer their disapproval.

I have quietly extended olive branches over the last few months to a number of folks. But what I’ve realized recently is my willingness to turn the other cheek has a sell-by date, and it is here. Three years in, anyone who still presumes to judge those of us who were proven right has shown himself to be not just a coward but a fool.

As my dad used to say, forever is a mighty long time. And I don’t have enough friends to lose them lightly.

But I am done with these people."

That's awfully nice, I wouldn't waste my piss on some of my former friends should they find themselves on fire.
The rest of us have moved on with our lives. But, feel free to stay mad.
I've been enjoying the free rent inside your head. I have made myself cozy, even installed a hot tub.
