[ unintentional capture of marine animals while fishing for a specific species or size] Yes it will. Will the feds maybe loose those people? possibly. Do I care? nope. Get a job in private sector, or go to work.

Maybe housing in nice little towns like mine will suddenly be affordable again in 6 months. If they rid themselves of a bunch of deep state blue-no-matter-who federal libs while we at it, great.

Private companies can do what they want. The abuse of this on the gov side is clear to anyone that looks, and a RTO mandate is a good first step to cull the herd.

They should assess each employee on a degree of items, from competency and necessity, not physical location.

Decided to apply for another gig and see what happens. Up in Washington, about 30 minute drive, so not too bad. 9 miles as the crow flies, but 21 since I have to head west to get to the bridge to cross the Columbia and get to Washington, then go right back east again. Always weird to me that there aren’t more bridges to get over there.

Anyways, it’d be a 40% pay increase, with a hybrid in office/wfh set up. Hopefully only 2-3 days in office. Rest of the benefits plan looked decent. I’ll try to negotiate starting at whatever their second or third tier of PTO accrual is, or start with a balance of 80hrs or something.
