ALSO, I really try to be very open and cool with everyone, respectful. I really give no shits what pronouns anyone wants to use, and I wish people like Mahtroy/Mahval the best of luck... But to be completely honest, if a they/them person ever interviews with me again, they're pretty much out by default, every experience with such has basically been total shit.

the few ruin it for the many, in so many ways. I really don't give a fuck what adults do in their spare time, but show up to work and do your fucking job. part of that is interaction with your team. do that effectively or get bent. You want to be part of the pronoun brigade? cool, do that on your time; once it degrades job performance its just like if you were to let booze, drugs, etc interfere.

I didn't get much sleep last night, woken up by a cacophony of wildlife.

I live in the woods at the end of our neighborhood. Someone has this fucking cat that loves to stroll into our backyard at 4am and HOWL incessantly. It's so loud that it blasts through our double pane windows that are closed. It also drives our cat nuts, who then joins in from inside the house. It's fucking maddening.

Happened again this morning and I had enough. Grabbed my air rifle, went outside and as soon as I took aim the fucker it got spooked and took off. It took me 30 minutes to fall asleep again, and just as I did...MRRROOOOOWWWWWWWWWW. I sprint out of bed, grab the rifle, but the piece of shit is onto me and scurried off in the woods as soon as I opened the door. It didn't come back...

But just before sunrise (around 6am) we have this stupid fucking crow that perches on a tree branch right outside of our bedroom and caws. Every. Fucking. Morning. It's louder than the fucking cat and will do it until I interrupt it...I've let it go 45mins+ before with no end. Again, I go out with the rifle, but as soon as I open the door it takes off.

I might sleep outside tonight with the rifle by my side. This is war.

make a clean kill, .22lr subs. no reason to make it suffer.

Love the idea but probably not worth it. The company has made it clear where they stand. This was also determined by new company that just bought us, so grassroots union is probably a bad idea, they’ll just write us off. I have to say I’d be somewhat amused if they fired actual people who do things.

I’m trying to focus on a few things:
1. Apply elsewhere/ look out for other opportunities
2. Meantime, care less. I’ll sit back and play their ‘KPI’ game, try to not interact with the turd and not worry about the commission suffering. Fortunately the salary is pretty good on it’s own so I’m done trying too hard
3. Focus on good stuff in life outside of work

Ultimately we shouldn’t be discriminating against any group of people. It’s part of why I’m so frustrated by this though. I’ve had some kind of close relationship with four or five trans people. I’m cool with MahVal, but the other 3-4 were poor and I don’t like that I now have this bias.

Also no one should get special treatment without a legitimate reason. I can’t take 50% of my with time off and neither can anyone else where I work that’s a she or a he. This piece of shit can. Plenty of other similar things I’ve outlined as well.
