moves under its own power again! Bro came over and helped get the new clutch master, slave, stainless line, and pedal installed. It actually feels better than before it broke. Gear changes are smoother than before, especially the 1-2 and 5-6 at speed. Wonder if this has been a problem for a while that gradually got worse until it suddenly let go. Will send pics of the broken clutch pedal assembly later today.

Got it back home to Tampa, I drove the Miata while bro drove the SQ5. His thoughts after: "I want an S4 now"

Did my first Costco run in the more appropriate grocery getter. All I originally had on my list was bread, bagels, lunch meat, and an extension cord. Not sure how I ended up spending that much on extras.

Yep. Here's to the new one lasting a good long time. There's a reinforcement kit for $100 by Nielex that I'm tempted to order and have welded up.

Yeah not unreasonable prices at all, I just went in with a small list and ended up wandering through the home goods section. Groceries from Costco don't work great for me because I don't go through it fast enough as a single guy and they go bad, at least for fresh things.

Went for a post-dinner cruise in the and realized how extra special it feels after driving the SQ5 most of this week.
Both make me giggle like a but for vastly different reasons, and it's nice that each has its dedicated purpose rather than trying to make one car do everything. The only common thread is that both make silly noises that make the monkey brain happy. The SQ5 is fast, composed, comfortable, and modern, whereas the Miata is rawer, simpler, and engages all the senses. Really feels like a great 2 car solution

The gearbox in the Miata feels noticeably better now, despite already feeling good before. I wonder if the clutch was never fully disengaging before and I was really relying on the synchros. 2 to 1 went from impossible to doable and 5 to 6 feels a lot better.

Also recorded a quick video while leaving the office today of how the SQ5 sounds in the garage. Didn't realize how loud the exhaust and especially the turbo spool is from stock. I think I like the exhaust as is but might do an intake for more of that turbo spool.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one spending what feels like amounts. Relatively new to the whole adulting thing so still getting used to how much groceries cost and how quickly all that goes by.

I’m still about that constantly. It’s wild how much money comes in and goes out.
