Sunday flying out to Nashville and fly home Wednesday. Dad is going to come out and watch the animals and house for us. Birthday is tomorrow too, will be nice to see him on my birthday. He’ll stay a few extra days next week after we get back too so we can hang out.

Nice! I’ve seen that one at Costco. Definitely wouldn’t mind picking a few more of these up. Nice way to kill a few hours.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 9:16 pm

happy birthday Brandon! Enjoy the time in Nashville and with your dad.
Pretty dece weekend here so far. My mom had a bunch of errands/stuff to do last night so I hung out/“supervised” my dad and had dinner with them.
Today went to outdoor yoga class with after some cofvefe. It was surprisingly cool. Then we got lunch/beers by the river at a nice place at the Whitewater Center. Chilled at home and did laundry and shit then went back to the Whitewater Center for some mountain biking with a friend.

I solo’d the kid this weekend. Momma went camping with her girl friends. So it was boys weekend.
Saturday was a pet the animals show at a small park near our house. He got to pet a python, hedgehog, and chinchilla. And got to see a wallaby and alligator. Then we did a lot of bike riding on our street and went out for pizzas.
Today we took his bike to one of my favorite parks in Philly. He said he didn’t like it because there were too many buggies lol. Then picnic lunch and pool time in the backyard.
I’m wiped.

Thanks for the bday wishes homies!
Got to a Nashville yesterday afternoon. Met buddy and his wife and kids for some bbq, Martin’s, took it to a park and ate while the kids played. Nice to catch up with him and see how well he/they is/are doing. Got back and explored the resort a bit then passed out. This place is massive.

I did most of my searching on Craigslist. Zillow was okay for finding stuff. Every once in a while you’d have to deal with scammers on CL, but those posts are generally under the “if it’s too good to be true, it is” umbrella.golftdibrad1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 1:17 pm Where do the yooths go these days to find housing / apartments for rent?
I’ve also been out of the renting game since 2017 so
I remember back at my last rental being livid about my house going from $865 to $1050 upon renewal and successfully talking then down to $950. The same shit hole today would be $2350, pound sand if you try negotiating.

Also facebook market seems to be another option as well.

Thanks all. Using FB market and getting more responses i can handle. In talks with some Ukraine refuges that seem nice and have good jobs.
