Love how Tesla eschewed the horrible middleman dealers and their rapacious markups only to simply assume the mantle of rapist upcharger themselves ZFG. I may buy an electric car, but it will never be a Tesla.
The model X is now CHEAPER than it was in 2020 when my buddy placed an order... for the one I bought in 2022... so a 2023 Model X costs less than a 2020 model X. Meanwhile all other cars are 20% more expensive minimum. This is a huge deal IMO.
Also there is now a $7500 tax credit, so some models received $22000-27000 in price cuts. OVERNIGHT. If you qualify.

Not really... check out Eric's post. They all went up 20% and now they're going back down, it's just the difference in execution happening at the rape palace or from God Elon on high.
I don't like so much about Tesla, but if the Model 3 had a hatch I'd probably already own one. At the very least I'd have been shopping/saving for one for the past few years.

It's a pretty sweet car for you guys. Compact, it's not like you're making some big commute where range is a big issue, and for the artist formerly known as Troy, the Performance model is an 11 second car. That is fast AF.

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.

I do not see a price drop here... if they followed the "tesla" curve they would be at 39k AVERAGE not 49k. YUGE delta.

It's the right car for this area, but I'm not dealing with hauling music gear around without a hatch - and that's the main reason that I ever use a car anymore. It's too bad everything else is a lot slower and/or not that much cheaper. A new Prius Prime will be $40k+ for 220 hp for example.

If you qualify for the tax credit the cheapest Model 3 is high 30s. Which is does everything you need.

The value is crazy. Too bad it's not a hatch like every other car they make.

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.

The E-Ray Corvette just murdered the used NSX market.
Good? Maybe I can afford one one day.

I'm happy for Brad because nobody jerks it to the Miata harder on this forum and that is the Crown Prince of Miatas.
Better performance, more practical, targa or convertible, AWD, and starting price of $105k.
NSX with 50k+ miles are listed for $110k+
well the idea would be that the NSX will begin to depress in the used markets as a result, hopefully.
I wont be in the 100k car game for another 15 years if ever.

Speaking of that, my friend who got nailed for DUI is scheduled for release this Saturday 1/21. He's been in there since 10/17. Fun times.

To be fair that's why that gen NSX has been doomed from the start.
NSX is a cool car that's been like 50% too expensive even since later on in the original car's run. I thought it and the i8 were great ideas though - supercar style without being so stupidly fast that they're useless outside of a track.

they are pretty neat but don't really seem up to the competition at the price level they're at. I'm also not really into techy cars so it doesn't speak my language. For that money I'd much rather Cayman/Boxster GT4.
I also take issue with Acura as a brand... hell as an indirect acura owner... it is just a shit brand at the moment. Their service prices are 3x honda for example. At least here locally.
Most of their lineup is boring and dated af...
What is the future of this brand period ? Since the TL/TS/Integra days they have gone straight downhill. All of their current cars have no need to exist in this market... One notch above Mitsubishi to me... on par with Infiniti which seems lost as well. Hell they seem to be doing worse than Cadillac... which has been a laughing stock for almost 20 years outside of the Escalade.

That's why I said the E-Ray will change the NSX market. I don't think people are gonna pay $160k for a used NSX anymore if they can pay 30 over for the Corvette and still save money.
