After 20” screens in the Tessies that are faster than the most modern phones. Anything is a downgrade. I really don’t want anything out of it other than the CarPlay…
To be honest my ideal spec is a premium + HK. But that’s creeping to 35k, and limited is more like 39k… if I wanted some leather. Price creep is super strong.
Whereas the si is one and done
Makes sense.
Where are these mangos?

New Hype R leaked. Looks great. Wish it were attainable.
Kinda, I will never understand the nature of this car. Like it’s not really stealth enough to be a good dd, and it’s way too expensive for a DD. But it’s positioned as such. So it’s really perplexing
Eh it's not so bad. 40-45 seems to be on the low end for performance now. 40 is the new 30. 30 is the new 20 and so on. Not that I agree with it as it's total but it is what it is. Everything costs more.
The Si seems to be the only outlier I can think of. I feel like everything has jumped close to $10k in price the last 10 years.

The Si did jump quite a bit... it went from 23.5 to 27.5 a full 17% increase. In line with the rest of the "inflation" the problem on the R however was that you can never get one at sticker... so it ends up transacting on average 2x as much as a cost of a SI. And frankly I don't see the value in that. It is not 2x the car.

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.

It also rolls on rubber band tires. It has some of the smallest side walls in the car biz. That's unacceptable for something that lives most of its life outside, and rolls through bombed out roads.
Si doesn’t have ass heaters. I think that’s all it’s missing. Could add afterwards if you want.
As a daily tool it makes more sense than a WRX for fuel economy and whatnot. If you’re not keeping it anyway tho, drive both and get whichever is more fun. Extra cost of fuel won’t be a huge adder over a short time.

There are a few things, I am a bit concerned that the WRX may be "unwanted". Everyone that I told about the wrx, said that it is "FUGLY". Sigh it kinda grew on me and I don't mind it one bit... but a civic is just simpler to get thanks to a singular trim level +50% MPG and 5-12k cheaper... I don't care about power that much. After the X nothing really phases me, both of them are slow AF. As long as it keeps up with traffic and keeps me entertained that's A-OK by me.
Also... newest development is. That the fendie is now playing ball... and is removing all extra charges and promising the car "will look like nothing happened".
Just out of curiosity, is the orange too loud? Why are you not part of the orange bukkakefest?
I never liked that color to be honest... maybe on something like a Lambo or a Bugatti. Getting an eye scratching poverty box goes against my ethos.
I have to confess that I would probably get the grey/cement on that particular car BEFORE thinking about resale. Orange and Blue are probably key on that note.

Valid point in my opinion, vanilla cars make more sense when they're painted a vanilla color. Who really wants to stand out anyways.
I'd take this idea a step further and drop the trim level to sport or some lightly optioned pleb spec. Dare I suggest a used 2019/20 Camry, Accord, Civic, or something similar? I dunno, I'm probably a retard for suggesting it.

I think the 19/20 Camrys and Accords will drop significantly faster in value and be less fun to drive IMO. The SI is sub 3000lbs and has 200hp. So it is somewhat fun. It is really hard to beat the Civic for anything other than all out power IMO.
It is incredibly practical, fuel efficient, inexpensive, and it may even be a hint of "Fun" with the

It also has the cheapo half digital/analog gauge cluster. But for some reason canada gets the full digital cluster and ass heaters as standard.

Yea to be honest blue is my fav color. So I always have a soft spot for them. I am not the worlds biggest fan of the honda blue, as it seems to be really... STRONG. But it is still my fav on that car, clear coated primer aka sonic gray pearl, is a close second. I like the grays still, even though they seem to be going out of style.

Seat heating is not something that I use... ironically a ton of my cars had it, and it went unused for maybe 2 occasions.

My nonchalance about ass heaters would probably take an about face if the southern border of my country started on the 50th parallel.

Most of the loans on recently repossessed cars originated during 2020 and 2021, whereas origination dates are normally scattered because people fall on hard times at different times; loan-to-value ratios, or the amount financed relative to the value of the vehicle, are around 140%, versus a more normal 80%; and many of the loans were extended to buyers who had temporary pops in income during the pandemic. Those monthly incomes fell—sometimes by half—as pandemic stimulus programs stopped, and now they look even worse on an inflation-adjusted basis and as the prices of basics in particular are climbing.
Honestly... what dumb ass bank was lending to people who are propped by stimmy? And what fucking increase? the minimum wage people getting a bonus during stimmy times? What other boosts in income? Figured it may be an interesting article for y'all.

When it was $35K I was down. I mean... the looks are what they are, I love it, I get why many hate it.
But it's an amazing driving car that is also practical enough for dad duty. It's not as luxo as a but drives a lot better, I see the appeal of both cars, one is more hardcore enthusiast, other is more well rounded but slightly less of a track toy.
I struggle with it at $50K though... It's still a Civic and you can get some pretty damn dece shit for $50K.

That's kind of my point... it was never 35k. You could never buy one at sticker even PRE pandemic madness. They were 45k back then with the usual markups... and they will likely be 55-60k now.... Mark my words.

I get why the ass heaters are standard there, but half of murica could still use them. I don't want to say ass heaters are make or break on a purchase but they're important.
