So guys... I think today is the day... Tomorrow is the "pickup" day for the Damaged Fendie. The
was supposed to be advising me on how they will "fix it" but so far crickets. But I have to make a decision. And frankly... I am all
Some of the forum bros chimed in on the rear bumper skid mark, and apparently its some tire goo leeching out requiring rear bumper plate replacement... seems easy enough.
That said... I am not 100% sure on what to do about the whole purchase. I feel like hunkering down and just riding shit out in a TSX+Cuckoma borrowed from my wife's dad.
It is the most fiscally sane thing to do. On the other hand that is an EPIC CUCK MOVE. That will certainly lead to self loathing.
The X going away is without a doubt something I am going to do... but the next steps are fully unclear to me. I have no other vehicle available for purchase that is worth a damn.

Larger comment on just what I want out of cars. I WANT AN EV, in addition to an ICE vehicle. They are simply superior to ICE for 99% of the driving that I do. Come at me. And charging at home is life changing. However there is NO EV that I want. The X is too expensive for what it is, and everything else is waitlisted/marked up/boring/fugly.
I think the only car that I would truly want is a model 3... because it is pretty much everything that I NEED, and nothing that I don't. But... it is way too much money now.. at least 54-64 OTD. Which is lunacy for a mediocre car. Regardless of the "savings".
The model 3 would also replace the TSX. My thought process is that come later on this year, the market will adjust and one would be able to pick one up UNDER STICKER used. As opposed to 10k above... what I already deem too expensive.

You're not going to pay 22k for a 30k miles barbrolo red benzo 6 months from now. You'd want to pay 7k... and I'd be stuck with a 15k bill for rolling in ancient metal.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 2:21 pmBarolo Red E 550 go buy it now and I'll take it off your hands when you are done.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 1:09 pm So guys... We'd have to agree on a fixed price not FMV. That car is bad ass it certainly beats driving a quarter million mile pizza delivery truck. Go look at it.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 2:32 pmYou're not going to pay 22k for a 30k miles barbrolo red benzo 6 months from now. I am mildly considering a 28k MSRP Civic SI. It is the bare minimum of a vehicle that I wouldn't mind driving for a short period of time.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 2:35 pmWe'd have to agree on a fixed price not FMV. The issue is Honda has the lowest inventory level of any major OEM at the moment. So finding one seems more difficult than a Hurracan EVO.

140 grand is 140 grand. I'd get rid of it. It's too ugly to be worth 140 grand I don't care how fast it is or whether it can hack the Kremlin.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 3:05 pmJust about a stimmy check.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 2:58 pm

I love how no one calls me a completefor willing to off what I deemed to be the best car I have ever had for a 2000 Tacoma with 255k farts and self loathing.
I occasionally question my sanity. But I try to be as fiscally conservative as I can be.

Yep. That's how you get to live in cali and buying a house ... not by rolling in 6 figure highly depreciating vehicles.

No to cucklyfe "paint and drywall handyman special" Taco that you don't fit in. Hard pass.
Si seems alright I guess. I really don't understand why they are manual only, stupid decision on their part. They still have rev hang and are slow and eh. I'm soured on Honda at this point.
You know, I saw an Audi e-Tron GT today and thought of you. Yeah I dunno, Take the Defender if they fix all the stuff and take away the many thousands of add ons and bullshit. Rock that for a bit. Since you got it in terrorist spec, do terrorist things with it like death valley or other stuff like that. I too want an EV and can't wait until I have the ability to actually buy one. If / when I get a house, I'd love to off the CRV for an EV and no way would I want to go back.

Email was sent asking for bullshit to be taken off and all issues addressed as well as msrp adjusted to order time (as per JLR ). They will most likely not do shit.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 11:07 pm No to cucklyfe "paint and drywall handyman special" Taco that you don't fit in. Hard pass.

The civic and Tacoma are both stop gaps. Tacoma until I can get a civic … possibly a base wrx. Still working through those deets. I wanted a manual to at least stay somewhat entertained in a shitbox
