It’s funny, I think of Macklemore as new/current but he was big almost 10 years ago
We spent NYE dinner on the patio of a small eatery at St Pete Beach with Stromboli, Greek salad and beer. Went to see fireworks after, it was crazy foggy so you could barely see them but it was really cool to hear the huge booms and the fog light up in crazy colors, super unique. We were on the street right at the beach where they set them off, was neat.
Then we went to a beach bar and hung out on a deck with live music/margs. ‘Twas 5/7 but we were asleep at 11.
Our flight home yesterday was canceled but it worked out amazingly well. Allegiant Air gave us $500 (we didn’t even ask/complain as this is basically par for the course flying now)! So we got a free extra day of vacation. Would definitely recommend Allegiant.
Our plans today with my family were canceled anyway since it sounds like my parents got the ‘cron.

Allegiant is 5/7, we sometimes use it to fly from US side Niagara to Daytona got cheap! They are great to deal with.

They have a lot of flights to various parts of FL from Concord, NC, a tiny airport like 30 miles outside of Charlotte mostly just used by B NASCAR teams. It’s inexpensive and very relaxed to skip CLT airport which is huge and meh.

you canuks need to stop being so nice to your leaders. I bet people are organizing a protest on the school thing as we speak. If it's ok to protest BLM shit that was not even in your country during the plandemic, then protesting the actual pandemic measures is fair game. They can't arrest you all.

It's cold in the northeast?
Yea we're having a really wet/cold winter also. Even a few below freezing (28-30F) evenings/mornings. Which is pretty rare. Kinda weird to be kept at home due to weather. Forgot what that feels like.

Yea for sure. All my biz partners that are not tied to earnings releases which means working on Jan 1st and the 31st like I did, are slow AF at the moment. It seems like this holiday sort of bled from X mas week to first week of jan. Bizzaro
But I'd think that down time is good for ya. make the best of it.

I guess I'll need to come up with a game plan for the kiddos. They're remote/online learning starting tomorrow, so that'll be the focus. May attempt to bang out some accounting stuff, but I can't stand it and procrastinate till it's due so I probably won't. Last time we had a two week lockdown I refinished my staircase, that was rewarding, so maybe I'll patch and paint the basement walls which are a warzone for kids shenanigans.
Also I'll be dropping off the tesla this morning... made the appointment 3 weeks ago... "first come first serve" but no loaners available. Just bay area things...
