Wow this is really close to me

For sure, I am not saying you're
Very interesting. C2 is the king. After that there is so much "depends."
Yea I can't deal with square exhaust... Pretty much the only car that successfully pulls this off is the wait for it... Veyron.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 2:20 pmVery interesting. C2 is the king. After that there is so much "depends."
1. C4 is meh except C4ZR1 and C4GS? Those are special powerplants that deserve respect even today. Cross Fire Injection Automatic C4? Seppuku car.
2. C3 swings the wildest. 1969 Tri Power 427 with Domed hood, 4 speed and Chrome Bumpers and Rectangular Exhaust? DO WANT. 1980 150 hp version with Plastic Fantastic Bumpers? Seppuku
3. Any C6 Widebody has my head on a swivel..........regular versions, meh.
4. Don't like the C5 at all. Respect the performance/cost when new. I have no desire for any C5.
5. C1s are fun.......but I'll need a fuelie or at least the solid lifter small block.
6. C7's are pretty much Z06 orAgain, widebody is king.
7. I need to see the C8 evolve. The ass of that thing is pretty fugly, including the square exhaust tips.
C7Z is just purely a blunt force trauma thing. I dig it.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 2:23 pmYea I can't deal with square exhaust... Pretty much the only car that successfully pulls this off is the wait for it... Veyron.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 2:20 pm

C7s Z06 don't make sense to me... it is way too much power through 2 wheels. :comeatmebro:
I think I am turning into a "pussy" my m3 had the most power I'd ever want in a car. It scared the living shit out of any person that witnessed the WOT runs in that thing. And that was about 420 wheel ~ 470/480 crank. I can't imagine doing that with 650hp in the WETTE, that seems terrifyingly dangerous on many levels.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 2:27 pmC7Z is just purely a blunt force trauma thing. 2x the MSRP
I don't think the high power is dangerous with modern tires and electronics, but I don't think it adds anything to the experience either. I'd rather be able to have everything be smaller and lighter than super beefy to handle 200+ mph. 300-400 hp at 3000-4000 lbs is plenty for me.max225 wrote:I think I am turning into a "pussy" my m3 had the most power I'd ever want in a car. That said I am occasionally thinking about aM2/3 from the last gen... fuck that DCT and these cars will be future collectibles IMO. As gasoline is going away after the next gen.
It is an interesting thing, big power is a lot of fun on an on ramp or empty ass highway from time to time, but I find on road courses I am honestly lifting even with my measly 350 HP on long straightaways.Given I don't have a roll cage, HANS device, fire suit, etc. when I'm barreling down the straight at VIR at 140-150 mph I don't really have the desire to keep accelerating when I know there is a tight corner approaching really quickly. It gets sort of terrifying. 1 WHP per 10 pounds of car seems about right.troyguitar wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 3:44 pmI don't think the high power is dangerous with modern tires and electronics, but I don't think it adds anything to the experience either. 167+ at the Glen was fcking awesome. Then a rear tire started to delaminate.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 4:10 pmIt is an interesting thing, big power is a lot of fun on an on ramp or empty ass highway from time to time, but I find on road courses I am honestly lifting even with my measly 350 HP on long straightaways.Given I don't have a roll cage, HANS device, fire suit, etc. when I'm barreling down the straight at VIR at 140-150 mph I don't really have the desire to keep accelerating when I know there is a tight corner approaching really quickly. Awd + power. The focus is a bit quicker. But the civic
I'd be surprised if there's any difference in speed from 2nd gear on. Also not sure if awd would benefit any in Dan's use case, but I haven't driven either so that's where my opinion stops I guess.
