You still thinking Volt? Or is there another vehicle in consideration?

too new, not in my budget used yet. also lacks some features I want.
yes, I know this. Really want something a little cheaper to run tho, regular gas, tires, etc. I also don't want BMW maintenance and maintenance problems. But it's a nice daym car for the money.

Eh... it runs fine on 87 and gets like 35 MPG highway and they're really reliable and easy to work on.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 1:39 pmtoo new, not in my budget used yet. also lacks some features I want.

I'm not ballsy enough to run 87 in a turbo car that I will be tempted to flog on multiple times a week. If I reconsider my options it's definitely a contender.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 1:46 pmEh... it runs fine on 87 and gets like 35 MPG highway and they're really reliable and easy to work on.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 1:39 pm

The whole car search is getting pretty discouraging in general. I might just fix the GTI... again.

No really, MKZ hybrid is a thing and they have to be worthless on the used market by now.

I don't really want just a hybrid. I want a plug in hybrid at least. 15 miles of range at least. I want the electric range because cheap. the volt also has a bunch of awesome features, lane control, active cruise, Android auto. If I can't get something like that I'd rather just spend way less money and get a Corolla with a manual or similar for 10ktroyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 1:55 pm No really, MKZ hybrid is a thing and they have to be worthless on the used market by now.

Our Fusion was perfect for 150K miles and the ride/comfort were the best of any car I've had (low bar as almost every car I've had has been loud and rides like shit). The only "issue" on that car ever was a seized water pump which was a cheap and easy fix (well, free by her dad's shop. but the part was cheap). It was definitely a nicer place to be than a Prius

welp, GTI hopefully gets sold today and I've put in a transfer request for the car I want at CarMax. both the cheaper private party options sold. It's at least still under bluebook if only by 500.

My grandma still drives that gen Camry... it truly is horrible. I remember driving it way back in high school when it was pretty new (I think it's a 2002) and even compared to the POS '93 Taurus I had, it drove absolutely horribly.
