Agreed. Though, griff's were in surprisingly good shape, they probably didn't need a rebuild as the boots weren't even torn like most C5's I've seen (mine were completely gone on a number of pistons). The bores were perfect and the pistons looked new. I'm going for all of the suspension stuff being fresh, so it'sto me. I was surprised they weren't ripped either after a bunch of track days and at least 50K miles with no maintenance from me other than fluid changes.

G2 is great stuff. I painted the entire caliper, and the top didn't quite level perfectly, but you'll never see the tops with the wheels installed. The faces are what counts, and I think they turned out great. I use a dremel on the CORVETTE lettering, and it REALLY pops on the black.
Yeah the Corvette lettering looks dope. I've scraped the paint off the letters with razors, sanded with sand paper, but a steady hand with the dremel produces the best results IMO. Hell once I put tires on mine I'll be more than $2K into maintenance/reconditioning and it won't be worth any more than it was before, which is probably $10K.
The nice thing about it not being worth much is that it's easy to have fun and
with a cheap thing.

Too rich for trumpbux but don't want to spend my own cash on an old BMW.
Biggest problem is I just don't know what I'd do with it. Detroit is absolutely the WORST place for car ownershit. Nowhere fun to drive it, it's not fast in a straight line, roads are garbage so the lowering springs (which look awesome) would be painful, not sure I'd trust it on road trips up north, it's a thing I want but in practice it just makes zero sense.
The only thing in the back of my mind is if I score this other job and leave my company, I'd have to surrender my beloved JT because I'll be too

This would be a me-only purchase, which basically makes it a fair weather commuter at best.

Well, found a way to spend the $40 plus an additional $37...
on a used Curt hitch for the Beemah. I really tried to support local but they wanted $230 with tax for one... New on Amazon it's $120. Ebay used unit that looks basically new $77 OTD.
