There's a handful of apps/websites to help you find these people. Indiana we lucked out and found a middle aged woman who cleaned AND would stay at the house with the dogs. 5/7 set-up. Right now we've got a neighbor girl that stays with them on occasion
Yea, last I looked the app (I don't remember which one) said people wanted $100/night in my area.
Boarding is less than half that.
I used the apps Wag and Rover and people had decent prices for watching Ava for me.
Cool thing was once you built a bit of rapport with them they’d watch her outside of the app for slightly less than I was paying through the app since they’d then get the full cut instead of the company taking some of it. That obviously comes with the caveat of the visit not being covered by the app company’s insurance, but I never worried about that.

Cheaper to just put her down. 3 nights is over the speed limit.
I dunno I paid the guy what I thought was fair to stay at someone else’s home. He likes that he gets some cashola and gets to escape from his parents house.

I don't want to put her down...just that $100 is excessive for her to sleep around the house all day and some stranger to sit in our bed. Boarding is $40 and that includes daycare for the day. She loves daycare...it's a better value.
I'd gladly pay someone $50 to stay at the house because they could feed the cat too. Right now, our neighbor drops in to feed the cat for free.99, but we usually get her a bottle of wine or cook her dinner or something to compensate.
$800 is cheap AF for a “designer”
It’s expensive to properly raise a litter of puppies for adoption.
Source: wifey has been an owner/breeder/handler for a large part of her life, so clearly
Right...there's puppy mills then there's legit breeders. Very different things. My mom and aunt are into the breeding lyfe, and they look down on my pound puppy.
Ultimately, it's what works best for each individual and what they're comfortable with. Pure breads from a breeder are preferred by many. And that's fine.
It's buying from pet stores or unknown sources on CL or FB Marketplace or whatever where things get sketchy.
I 100% agree with you, but sometimes dumb people let accidents happen. All dogs need love even the craigslist mutts like mine. My dog's litter was not planned and they weren't in it to make money.
I would never go out of my way to purchase a purebred, but that's just me.
So, with all of these people working from home for at least two months, what are the tax implications for next year? I imagine all of those people are going to be writing that square footage off as a work space.
The Daily Report just posted a dope interview with Bill Gates who's foundation plans to kick start seven different vaccine manufacturing plants, each one building a slightly different vaccine, by donating boatloads of money to the projects... this motherfucker is going to keep being the richest man on the planet.

3 weeks at home now. Sigh
Our .gov passed rules that non-essential travel is a $1k fine. 100% staying home now.
Who knows for how long, I'm really not hating it.
I’m over being home. But I don’t have space for projects or anything so it’s boring AF. Not to mention it builds stress trying to keep a toddler who is used to always going out and doing things inside all day long.

#NotMyGovernment so.....
You'd need martial law to enforce. Even then it's non enforceable. Can't have DUI style checkpoints on every street. Sure am going to get groceries, ossifer.- Everyone.
I'm not the one who buys groceries so my day to day hasn't changed much. I'm boring as fuck.

I'm certainly not either... I started playing guitar/bass this week again, which has been fun. I suck! But hopefully I can get a little better.
The wife has been driving me crazy though... she is starting to get in a really sour mood. She is working a ton, but outside of that just watches tv and scrolls social media. She will go on bike rides with me at least, but she needs to get some kind of hobby. Keeps talking about lawn/gardening but doesn't actually take action at all on anything.
The hardest part of my existence is playing teacher for two to four hours per day. If we had just one things would be easier but trying to get an 8 y/o and 4 y/o to pay attention for the same timeframes is... challenging. Gotta get over the struggle. For the time being the little guy plays on his Leapfrog which is educational by nature. So I guess that's still a win.
The rest of the time off situation is 5/7, most of my storage spots are organized, food is home made daily, and family spending has dropped about as much as my income. As long as my wifey still has her job we can do this for 6 months, back to work in the fall!

Go buy her some flowers and gardening soil at Home Depot to get her started.

I'm not going to Home Depot without reason. She can order some if she wants... I will help her build some beds or whatever she needs, but I can't take all the initiative for everything... I have zero interest in gardening.

Yep, same. Mine is going nuts too.
Is there anything she's enjoying doing at home? I'm open to any/all suggestions for her.
I am biking a ton, lifting in the yard, playing guitar, working on the C5 on weekends... staying pretty busy and getting a lot done.
Hopefully once she gets into the groove of work, it'll be better. She has had a lot put on her plate work-wise and is pulling 12+ hour days, working on the weekends some, etc. in her defense. She is running her school now in many ways as she's the only person there out of a staff of like 50 that knows how to use a computer or has a damn clue about digital/remote learning.
