I don't really understand what's happening here... how are they all tied together. In my case, the student loans were on me, no cosign from my rents. Paid off in full in my mid twentiescoogles wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 12:37 pmAbout the Jeep?
That they have fucked up financial priorities?
My in-laws had $75k of student loans between my wife and her sister. $15k we knew belonged to my wife, the other $60k was consolidated and who the fuck knows who owed what. Their educations cost roughly the same. We paid off the $15k and $30k of the other loan, her sister and husband haven't even made a single payment. And then go buy a I guess $50,000 JL. I'm beyond pissed.

So is your wife on the note for these things? Just their parents getting burned? No payments ever, really?

My wife and her sister both took out loans in their own names, but their parents also took out loans for the two of them in their own names. They had ~$90k in total, but in an effort to reduce their payment and reduce their interest rate, they consolidated a big chunk of loans from the educations of both my wife and her sister. We called Navient, but they couldn't tell us how much of that new consolidated loan was from each institution. There ended up being a $15k note tied specifically to my wife's college expenses and another $75k note that was mixed.D Griff wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 3:23 pm I don't really understand what's happening here... how are they all tied together. Even before we paid off our own loans we were kicking in $150/mo to help cover at least some part of their payments, but it took us a few years before we really started chipping away at things. My in-laws had paid off about $15k of that $75k note by the time we'd paid off our own loans and that $15k loan. We then took out a private loan for $30k to pay off half of the remaining $60k balance (lower IR) and knocked that out this year.
So while we gave her parents $150/mo for YEARS to cover part of their monthly payment and then paid off $45k in principal, her sister and her husband haven't ONCE made a payment on those loans. Her folks still have $30k left and we feel like we've done our part, but rather than chip in for theirs, my BIL and SIL went out and bought a new $50,000

If my parents TOOK OUT LOANS IN THEIR NAME to send me to college, so I can walk into the Jeep dealer with a 760 FICO not a 680, and I buy a new Jeep instead of paying my parents back, all the while knowing that my sibling and her husband manned the fuck up and paid my parents back, I would either kill myself or just never come to a family event again.

True story:
In college I once took out a small student loan to give to my mom so she could buy her Mk1

Somehow the igloo cooler roof, fabric strap seat recliners, and mandatory wind advisory and ear plugs over 40 MPH are fine but cheap dash = seppuku

Oh yeah. That's the tech package I think. I'd opt for that if given the choice. Its one of the few things you can't really just bolt-on change out on a Jeep. Everything else like LED lights and bumpers and wheels and whatever are all lego pieces.
I wouldn't let it stop me though. I like the Willys.

Yea, for some odd reason it gives you the rest of the Sahara pieces (power etc) but not that even thought its technically a Sahara IIRCJohnny_P wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 9:58 pmOh yeah. He did, that’s the best way to fly on these. You save $1250 over the V6. As the trans now costs $2750 without the 2.slow discount. I am really curious about that motor as it may fix the low end grunt issues of the 3.6

Turbro 2.0 all the way. Zero low end issues as it’s got torque for days. Plus, the 8AT is a nice match.
