That sounds about right. The 300 with same combo gets around 25-8 add brick plus awd and makes perfect sense[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 10:56 amThat's
I got 21 empeegeez all highway in the Trailcock averaging 75-80, which was a nice departure from the 15-16 I'd get in the Wrongler doing 75.

I am seriously considering picking up a manual two door soft top JL or even JK. The mods on the rental were terrible. It was fun to have such an outrageous car but my god are those tires loud and the gearing is atrocious with those huge wheels... stock for me please, maybe some Rubi take off wheels.

So I mentioned this on OT but we rented aJK Sahara soft top in the Keys this weekend? I’m trying to decide if it was just the honeymoon making everything great or if I really want one of these things. I’ve always liked Wranglers but driving one all over the keys was one of the most fun driving experiences of my life. The huge, long, shaky shifter, the epic tent with removable everything, the cool off road looks, the goofy short wheelbase. It drove like absolute shit But was just so much fun. They’re so pure, simple, mechanical.

Full disclosure, I really didn't like the gearing in the rubi I drove. 1st is short and all other gears are sort of tall. So you go 1>2>3>6th which was tall AF on the freeway, this transmission has at least one useless gear... Also perhaps due to it being a rubi that weighs 600lbs more than a comparable 2 door base, it felt really STRAINED. But the 2 door may fix all that.

So it would make it around 25-26k for one with AC and roll up windaze. The JL Is just better than JK in every way, especially when it comes to the transmission.

Had a JKU for a week two summers ago and really liked it despite its flaws.
Had a JLU Sahara for a week the following summer and it’s been improved in every possible way.
They’re still way too much, but the used market is even worse so not sure what would be the best option tbh.
It's a weird car to purchase... You could go for a decent TJ for $10K which will be pretty much depreciation proof but $10K+ is a lot for a car that isjust a toy and would kind of suck to DD... unless you're a die hard off road bro. A JK at $15K would be cool but they don't really exist unless they're in shit condition. So it comes down to either pov-spec brand new, nicely equipped JK for more than a pov-spec new one, or full onSwedish Chef wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 9:58 pmThis right here.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 2:56 pm

I think if I was to bite the bullet a new one in pov-trim would be the way to go... but do I really want to pay $30K for a car with a key and no remote locking capabilities? Maybe? I like it more at $25K but I don't think those
