Drove a bit more with the sound tube unplugged and I think I'm just going to leave it that way, maybe plugging it for long road trips but I don't see any great reason to fuck around with the exhaust. It's not quite as easy as pushing a button, but the sound tube can be (un)plugged in 10 seconds at the passenger footwell.
Next step is I have an Mtech clutch assist spring on order, the stock clutch feel is pretty numb because of a heavy spring helping make the pedal light. Swapping it for a weaker spring supposedly brings back some clutch feel without making it a PITA.
Winter tire decision is 90% made. People have scared me into leaning toward a full-on proper studless snow tire vs. a performance winter. I'm still not 100% sold but if I end up stuck somewhere in my stupid sports car I'll never hear the end of it... New(ly available in the USA) Continental VikingContact 7 is the plan, they came out last winter for Europe and tested better than the Michelin Xi3 over in Sweden and Russia. 205/50/17 on the stock

is the sizing, mainly waiting for the local Firestone shop to run their $100 off sale which is November 14-17... meanwhile I'll be driving on the 240 treadwear summers and it's supposed to be in the 20s/30s every morning with some snow this week.
Not a clue what I'll do for a summer setup yet. Maybe RE71R on the gold SSR's, combined with TRD sways and springs if I want to make the car super sporty. Maybe just throw the stock prius tires on the SSR's and leave the suspension stock too if I want to spend less cash.
