If I had a larger garage I would really be tempted to buy a Challenger Wide body Redeye. I just don't have a place for it.

It may be as big as a boat, but they aren't supposed to be submerged.Melon wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 10:00 pmI have room.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:53 pm

Have you seen what cars they selected against it ? Objectively speaking it is certainly the best all around car.
I mean Lambo uterus ?
A mustang whose interior sucked in 2015, with abysmal quality ?
A rebadged bmw into a Toyota ?
How is that competition?
The only car worth a damn not from the VAG life was the m2 cs arguably inferior car but also 1/2 the cost. Which doesn’t seem to matter for that article.
Also I didn’t see the amg gt the only other worthwhile competitor to the 992 that wasn’t part of this test.
GT~R dates back to 2009...
that Test is just irrelevant as Porsche 992 is the only car that blends quality and performance and luxury. All others Index way more on one or another category making them “inferior” as the goal was drivers car.

That would be the "Best car for the poors" article that you are looking for.
Seriously though, a $60k car (GT-350) came in #2 over many more expensive cars.

Objectively speaking the poorsche is the only car that is in that space. All out performance for the money corvette is better. But no one blends performance/quality/vadge because Porsche is the only player in town. Only the AMG GT competes with it. And maybe Aston Martin but since they just use last gen mb everything they should never win.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 11:53 amThat would be the "Best car for the poors" article that you are looking for.

It’s a super niche field with only 2 players 1 of which wasn’t selected to compete so... it makes sense that the Porsche won.

but

Also, I had a joke that landed real far off with @chalupabatman's new GF. My first meeting her with him went well. Beers had, good time all around. I caught a ride home with them. Her sister live's near my house but in the same hood as

Me: "oh so they dont live in that one?"
her: no they are the next one down.
Me: "oh so they live in the one for the poors?"
her: SUPER

i couldnt recover from her being so angry for jokingly saying her sister living in a $250k house instead of a $500k was "poor".

Interestingly MT also placed the C8 ahead of the 992 in a direct comparison. Mostly due to the Corvette being a more comfortable Cruiser when you want it to be.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 11:47 amHave you seen what cars they selected against it ? My city is divided down the middle by a major road. For some reason, one side is big houses on big lots, the other is small houses jammed together on small lots. City is called "Pleasant Ridge", but most refer to the smaller side as "Peasant Ridge".dubshow wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 11:57 amCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 11:53 am

We met some people that just bought a house on that side, and I told the woman "Welcome to Peasant Ridge"
She responded: "why does everyone keep calling it that?! We're not peasants!"
My wife: "But to us you are..."

Woman:

Most people are used to it and laugh it off, others get really touchy.
