I tried connecting to Android auto briefly but don't really get the point. It's a significantly worse and totally gimped interface vs just using the phone. What am I missing? ImageImageImage
The main "feature" is usually seeing the G maps on a larger screen. :like: But that's it... I don't care for the rest.

How tall are you again? If you're under 5'10" i can see "fitting" behind yourself. But :bruh: that's not fitting... you're being touched by your car from every angle... and you're a small dude. That's claustrophobic, but obviously it'll work in a pinch.

Also ... nice interior, i dig all that Alcatara.

I'm 5'10" or bigger than like 80+% of people in the world. Y'all 1%'ers are living in a different universe.

Love that interior! That tan coloring on the seats is a fantastic touch. :like:

Do you have headroom in the back or do you sit in the back window?

Do you think that is acceptable for a "seat" ?

In a pinch, the seat seems more usable than a Camaro. :iono:

I love that interior too. Fantastic. This car is epic.

If it fits, I sits.

I'd rather be "touched" by a clean car than ride the bus. :wrong:

You also have to remember most people sit way too far back and are locking their knees to depress the clutch. Every time someone my height gets in my car they’re always like “OMG this is so claustrophobic, how do you sit this close?”

:stig: life.

I think the back seat is cool to have, I wouldn’t want to ride 8 hours in it, but nice that it works if needed.

:dat: so often with :turboyaris: which I do see their point doe, I remember when I switched to DSG mk7 the head unit was farther out of reach in comparison

Also Rudy's buddy when he got his wrangler, Jakob made me sit in the backseat to see how I seat and then tells me that its best to have Rudy to sit front of me

Another thing is that the car does have tons of headroom in the front and the wheel tilts and telescopes pretty far, so y'all giants can drive them easily if you're not too fat for the bolsters.

My wife doesn't understand why I "hug the steering wheel". I don't think I do, but I like being closer from my :stig: days.

People bitch all the time that there isn't enough headroom in the JL/T...they hit their heads on the roll bar because they insist on sitting so far back. I have zero issues and find it to be perfectly comfortable.

Yep, I always liked that about the car. I fit comfortably in it, which is :mindblown: for a japanese sports car that size.

It's a great tall guy car, I'm super comfortable in them. Unlike a Miata, there's no claustrophobia. They do ride like a :poorvette: :doe: , but my friend's 2013 with 80K miles doesn't rattle/thud at all inside even over harsh bumps.

I feel like it rides fine but it is brand new. It's firm, sure, but really well damped and not harsh. The Prius tires are also loud on some pavement.

:fuckyeah: purchase, Troy. Can't wait to hear more impressions of the car.

Once we're settled and have some money for a weekender I want to get my first RWD car - something with lower limits that will actually make me a better driver, that I can use for autox and track days. Would prefer a back seat so I can take a kiddo or two with me as well, and the 86 is basically the only newer car that fits the bill. The only others I can think of are an E30 or a 240sx, but good luck finding one that isn't a dumpster fire, let alone one to test drive and really get a feel for.

Hope you really enjoy it!

I was supremely comfortable in one (in the front) there are no problems for anyone 5>6'6" IMO. Car drove great too.

This is the other stuff you get for the extra cost of the green package:
