Wifey also loves her radar cruise. Looking forward to trying it out myself.
My issue with it is it will not tailgate close enough, so in traffic you will get cut off by 30 people and piss of everyone behind you until you turn it off. That makes the stop/go feature useless. On a more open road for a long trip it isn't terrible.
And once on the "open road" you can set normal cruise and not touch it for long periods. I like the idea of radar cruise, but I really don't desire it that strongly.

interesting. On hers you can adjust the following distance.
i can see where it wouldn't be that useful during a morning commute in typical rush hour traffic
Where are these mangos?

I don't understand anything anymore.

I've only tried it on a Japanese Camry I rented, but found it to be ... it slammed on brakes when there was a car like 50 meters ahead of me. I enjoy muh poverty cruise control. I can drive it with buttons without even touching the pedals, I don't really desire any lower amount of engagement than that until the car is just full on driving for me.

Yeah, they allow you to adjust the following distance but all are too far for a traffic commute. The thing is, everyone in the magazine reviews raves about it with full stop/go, but they must be the type that leaves a 10 car gap in the commute and makes everyone behind them

The one in the isn't so bad. I generally have mine set to 2 bars for the following distance.
Following too close would make the system too rough. Gas, brake, gas, brake, etc if you're behind someone who can't regulate their speed.

I like backup cams, gaydar cruise, and blind spot monitors
Your gaydar cruise sends falses to my RD. Turn that shit off.
Time for a new Radar detector.
My V1's consistently false on the gaydar, but my new Uniden R7 does not. The Uniden is pretty damned awesome too, user upgradeable firmware and directional arrows like the V1.

I thought v1 has a patent on it, but I suppose it expired. Man wasn’t uniden a crappy brand ?

Patent expired and you can’t even buy a new V1 these days. Escort and Uniden both have arrow models.
