Autos have just gotten so good...a good one really don't ruin the experience as much as they used to.

But yeah. Autos are good but Mini + :manuel: = special

While I agree, the Mini + good auto is :notbad: too.

The mini auto seems to be geared super short so it’s like
Brap brap brap in sport mode... it felt like it almost added to the experience. I am not going to make this be the deciding factor for sure. At this point I just want condition/price/maintenance history and color/option combo

If the gearing is better on the auto then it's probably worth it. I'm finding that to be the case on a lot of cars recently.

Dat auto in the F56 JCW is just a good fit for the car. You lose nothing going with the auto in that car.

Cooper S, JCW. It literally felt like gears 1-3 only ... looks like I wasn't :wrong: the other gears felt pretty closely spaced and pointless. 4th is sub 1:1 :impressive:
1st gear: 3.923 vs 3.923 *
2nd gear: 2.136 vs 2.136 *
3rd gear: 1.393 vs 1.276 *
4th gear: 1.088 vs 0.921 *
5th gear: 0.892 vs 0.756 *
6th gear: 0.756 vs 0.628
Final Drive: 3.588 vs 3.824

6 speed auto...
1st Gear 4.46 :1
2nd Gear 2.51 :1
3rd Gear 1.55 :1
4th Gear 1.14 :1
5th Gear 0.85 :1
6th Gear 0.67 :1

To be honest, the :manuel: is fine... so is the auto... it's not clear who the "winner" is here.

I regret not owning a MINI at some point.

I see the light... especially in the F gen.

You have the reliability... they are sub 30k.... they are unique... like, almost no two are alike.
They are supremely spacious for the size. And the steering is about as good as it's going to get, and with noise makers they are interesting sounding as well as opposed to most other 4 bangers. :hubba:

They're just fun. Period.

I miss cars that are fun. New cars are just so... clinical and devoid of character.
Most are...I'd argue that JL/T has a lot of character and it's a big part of why people buy them...but it's a different sort of character from a MINI.

Every single Mini :dillerman: around me seems to be low pressure and staffed with car dudes.... legit :notbad: ownershit experience if :dillerman: is your thing.

Wasn't that the goal for MINI :dillerman: ? To be low pressure and cool AF?

It's a shame the model didn't work...unfortunately MINI is the opposite of what people want these days. MORE IS BETTER BIGGER IS BETTER :truk: :truckyeah:

hence the cross shopping on my end... but the JL is double what a mini costs... with similar levels of equipment. And DD wise a Mini just makes a bit more sense in my case... I can totally see it being 90% of the M3 fun, at 40% of the price. Just can't beat that...

Yea...I'd make the same call if I was in your position. I honestly think the MINI is absolutely perfect, especially with how JCWs have depreciated.

Another black mini this time at a mini dealer... but its triple black... also 3k cheaper than reno (same options + leather though)... granted slightly higher miles... I really don't know why those guys don't come down a bit, I think my 24k offer is spot on.

In photos the red/black interior looks way cooler, but I feel like I'd get tired of how bright the red is so I don't think this looks bad at all. :notbad:

Right before sales hit the shit... real shame... finally cars true to their initial concept... and no one wants em... because... 2 door clown car for 25-45k...
