I wear my jeans low to make me look more proportionate.
I had a pair that was cut and is longer than all the rest. I might have given it away when we moved but if not I'll send them to you. I can't wear them unless I get some stilettos.
2XL shirts for me for the most part now. They're loose, but not baggy.
I think I do the 541 from Levi's, whatever their "athletic" fit is. I bump the waist up to 34" to make the 36" inseam easier to find and to give my thighs and a little more room too.

In the last 10 years or so Levi's quality control and consistency has gone to shit.
Buy 3 pairs of jeans of the same model and size and you can get 3 very different things, depending on where they are made.
When I get a pair made in Egypt they seem to be pretty accurate while the ones from Mexico are clearly made on the same line as Jose Cuervo and they are all over the place when it comes to sizes.

I just go to Kohl's and buy 3 pairs of 514s at a time, every 4-5 years.
I don't go through jeans often.
I'd never pay the normal retail price for them, but man at $25 or whatever Costco charges for them, they're great.
I also don't buy new jeans often. I grabbed two pairs of the Lucky's last year, and before that it was 3-4 year old Levi's two of which I still wear in rotation with the Lucky's.

One time I found a $120+ pair somewhere that was dark gray with purple stitching and fit perfectly, so I wore them almost every day... and had holes in the crotch after 6 months, so like a dollar per use? Since then I buy cheap stuff that fits close enough.

Some things are worth buying high end... I learned that clothing is generally not.
I kinda want to try the whole raw denim route, but those are mostly cut with super skinny fits from what I’ve seen or are just too for me to actually dive in.

This is a massive "it depends." There is a TON of high quality denim out there for DIRT cheap.
A good fitting shirt though... A TRULY good fitting shirt is worth the money.
For my body, cheap pants work but I gotta put the money into shirts and blazers.
I also find mid-priced shoes are less expensive for me over the long term.
DSW dress shoes for $80 last me 6 months. A nice pair of shoes for $200 with replaceable soles are still going strong after 5 years.
That said, I am in a job that puts me in contact with hundreds of people a day on a professional level. If I wasn't I would likely have a different opinion.
You're not buying high end stuff either
Fit is more important than anything and is unrelated to price, materials, quality, whatever. Shoes are indeed a little different since they are a load bearing item vs just covering your but even those aren't worth going full on, more like somewhere in the middle as you said.

Jeans are Levis 514s in a 30x32 (try to buy these long, since I'm really a 33-34" inseam), short sleeve shirts are usually a small, long sleeves are a medium due to arm length.
Dress pants are Express photographer cut in a 30x34, dress shirts are Express extra-slim medium, polos are Express slim fit medium. Jacket is a 40L due to monkey arms.

I've had good luck with inexpensive Aldo shoes. Can usually snag a pair on sale for $60-70 and I have some that have lasted me years as long as I keep them clean/shined.
I have some Lucky, Levi and Wrangler jeans, all 5-10 years old. I wish they were a bit slimmer fitting but I’m just so with clothes... average age of my stuff is at least eight years.
