There's also the issue of shifting weight distribution. Going up hill in a FWD car in slippery situations when your weight shifts aft is no bueno.

I'm used to looking for wagons with sport packages and am not unwilling to drive more than 30 feet to buy a car like most "enthusiasts" seem to be. Take one damn day and go get the car you actually want, if it's 500 miles away?

Troy that V6 RAV4 is a great option for your new move. Massive utility, enough power that you don't need to kill yourself. Max's position on this is a top ten for preposterousness, even for him.troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 9:13 pm47 V6 AWD options with <100k miles:

You didn't but it could be inferred by a reasonable reader? Don't go all on me motherfucker. Troy is trying to make an unpalatable thing to him palatable. This is perfect vehicle to do that.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 7:32 pmWhere did I make that statement? I said if reliable ing is the goal... Said goal is far easier accomplished in trying to find a 4 cyl Rav 4 as there is simply way more on the market and it is much easier to find a well cared for one for less money as the 6 tends to be in the loaded leather versions, which have cracked seats etc. Toyota leather ages like shit, same goes for lexus. Every single pre 2005 land cruiser has torn leather.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 7:25 pm
How is the I4 any more reliable than the V6? Your failure to acknowledge the V6 RAV4 as the Hammer of Thor is very disappointing.

Probably. I suspect JLs are improved...but do you have a freedom top and have you taken any of the panels off yet?

I'm not paying to fix it.
Legit curious to see if they fix it. I chased leaks the entire time I owned my JK, ended up the thing.

I am using the soft top, so idk if that makes it more or less likely that it will leak... Though when it is raining and i open the door there is a deluge coming off the rain channels, which i understand are new to the JL, running along the door frame
You can argue that's the perk of being the driver, passenger = wet peasants. Huehuehue[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 1:16 pmThe passenger side got worse after the last deluge.

is the appropriate action, you gave it a shot already at the where they fixed nothing, other than the leaking axle seal.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 1:26 pmI might just order the $35 foam tape kit and do it myself to save the time/effort.

Nope, I have the regular soft top as well, didn't opt for the premium. I havent driven around that much tbh, only at about 1.2k miles right now, but I've had some pretty heavy rain (could barely talk inside the car, lol), and also drove around during the snow storm that hit DC a couple of weeks ago, and no leakage.
(I am also OK with roadnoise from the soft top, since my first car was a 2004 sebring soft top convertible, which was honestly worse)

I've heard the improvement in wind noise on the JL is fantastic.SaxyJeep wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 1:28 pmNope, I have the regular soft top as well, didn't opt for the premium. It's really not bad. Even on the highway it only really becomes significantly noticeable 60+mph, and regular driving barely.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 1:31 pmI've heard the improvement in wind noise on the JL is fantastic.SaxyJeep wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 1:28 pm
