It's not an STI?
I'd seriously do pink. Loud 80s colors are all the rage right now. And I'd Randy Travis the fuck outta this thing with a pink / yellow shadow ZR-2 emblem on the side. To hell with that factory robot print one. The fact that he used to own an S10 ZR2 just makes it that much more awesome.

The throwback decal would be awesome.

Maybe I should...
People here are boring, doe...and they're all

I bet the Colorado brand managers don't even know the ZR2 used to exist.

Retro shit is all the rage these days. Someone in branding should know of the ancient products...

Even if they do, they're working hard to shed stigmas created by the past. I doubt I could get it to fly.
But I should stick a pink one on my truck and see how it flies.

Took it out to dinner. Driving down our road, we have a "speed hump" in the middle. In every vehicle I've driven, if you don't slow down to 15 mph MAX to go over it, you'll be hurting. Thought I'd try out the fancy suspension and hit it at 20. Barely felt it. Came back and hit it at 25, nothing.
I'm really itching to get offroad now.

The smaller cab is more visually balanced. But nobody wants a club cab. The crew is pretty good in person the bed is big enough for about 70% of the people out there.

The extended cab is completely

Proportionally, the short bed does look weird, but it makes the truck far more maneuverable AND the bed is big enough for what we need it for (camping). Won't be doing any mulch runs, but oh well.

They simplified the frames with the cab offerings.... the extended cab and crew cab short bed use the same frame, they're the same length. Likewise, the extended cab bed is the same length as the crew cab extended bed, thus simplifying the required parts.Detroit wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 7:42 amThe extended cab is completelyIt's basically a shelf back there. We actually used the SIlverado to drive with people places, so we wanted to be able to do that with the Colorado. The crew cab Colorado has a surprising amount of space in the back. I can actually sit behind myself, which is a rare feat.

Yeah the back "seat" on the extended cab is horrific. My dog wouldn't even be happy back there. But the truck does look better with just the extended cab. If you only needed to cart around yourself and one other, and wanted some space for backpacks / random bs inside, the extended cab is a good pick. If you want to transport living things with it, you need the crew cab.
I'd consider an extended cab if I took the rear "seats" out and put a shelf for the dog back there. But who the f wants to do that to their brand new +$40k pickup?
They do look good doe.

So the big question Chris.... is it actually noticeably more maneuverable and smaller? It looked about the same ride height, and width is within 5", length is within 10" of the last truck.

It's hard to explain, but it really does feel like it. I know the

Crazy thing about the 8-speed is that the final drive is the same as the V6. Both are @2k at 75 mph. So the 8-speed jams more ratios in lower to help with acceleration, and man does it work well.
And the fucking blooo....it's such an epic color IRL. I'm so glad I went with it instead of waiting for a 2018 in the brighter blue.

Fully agreed.[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 9:27 amWhat I don't get is why they waste all the space in the extended cab with the shitty seat/storage box setup. The lack of padding in the middle makes it difficult forJohnny_P wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 8:11 am

hauling.
They should've left the floor open with fold down jump seats, like the Bro Forks 1.

It's not flat under the rear seat. I can't remember what's under there beside the jack and stuff, but the floor isn't flat. We looked into a rear seat delete accessory, but there just wasn't a way to do it with the hump in the floor.

Kind of? The back wall isn't flat, the scoops up at the rear create challenges for an accy offering that's cheap enough for people to actually want to buy.

Right, which is why there's really not big accessory opportunity. Especially considering that extended cab is less than 20% of truck volume.

Decided to go
and I'm going to CQuartz the truck. Ordered a 50ml kit and I'll apply it during my vacation day on Monday. The paint is flawless right now, it's the time to do it. I'm curious if it'll help with inevitable scratches from tall grass and small tree branches.
I've never been happier with a vehicle. It's crazy, I absolutely love this thing. The color, the drive, the interior, everything. So much
The color's been getting a ton of comments at work. Laser blue wasn't produced long or on many trucks...most people are seeing it for the first time and are
by how it looks.
