We'll see. I fired off some quote requests and haven't heard anything other than "when can you come in?" "what features are you looking for?", "when is a good time for a call?", etc...

I'm all big on spending a little more to get what you want, but I'm not sure you really have anywhere out there to use the capabilities of the Raptor/ZR2? It seems like overkill but WTF, I drove the mean streets of Palm Springs in my now woefully underpowered Corvette this morning with no track day or other reason for owning it in sight other than lust.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2017 11:01 pmI dunno...it'll depend on the
They don't lease well because of lack of lease support...and there's too much uncertainty to tell if they'll start to depreciate soon and make buying unrealistic. So far, residuals after 3 years are in the low 70% range, which is great butif real.
I'm not going to kid myself by saying I'll buy it and hold onto it forever. That's just too muchbeen there done that.
It is a dream truck, doe.
It just seems like they are priced at a premium now and thus far you've been to cheap for that. A Z71 lease would not be a reason to kill yourself.

GMT800 "Angry Eyebrow" GMT800 Avalanche's are pretty hideous, particularly with the plastic cladding.
By contrast, the GMT900 Avalanche is a nice looking f@!#$ing truck.

Yea, I'd be perfectly happy with a Z71. The ZR2 would be nice if the deal was right, but I'm not going to pursue it really.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2017 4:05 pmI'm all big on spending a little more to get what you want, but I'm not sure you really have anywhere out there to use the capabilities of the Raptor/ZR2? In other news, it turns out the letter I got was fake news. Talked to the dealer where I leased my truck from, and they said I'm not actually eligible for early turn-in.

Sucks because this is the first month I've seen lease deals on Z71's while they're trying to clear out 2017's. Here's hoping they run Z71 deals again in a few months...

The GMT900's are legit, but also

So...went
the first time since it was tuned and it was nothing but spin and traction control winding out 2nd. It didn't do that before. Dude really dialed in the power, but now traction is legit an issue.
A good problem to have?

1st is worthless launching... and now second seems to be too. I need to look into how to improve traction. Probably just tahrs will make the difference
I don't know how these dudes do 600+whp...doesn't seem possible to get even a bit of that down.

It isn't... same shit as slapping a K04 on the front of a Gayti... and then you just have to use "throttle modulation"
Crock of SHIT BS. 500whp through 1 set of wheels is pretty much pointless unless you're at a drag strip on D radials.

Depends on the car a bit. My dad's car puts it's 500 or so at the wheels down like a champ. Serious

Power to weight

I'm just glad that I have zero desire for more power. It would be completely worthless.

My gearz guy asked me what work I planned to do to the car before choosing between 3.90s and 4.10s. He said if anything like a supercharger was in the works then not to go with 4.10s. You might already be at the limit for 4.10s traction wise, but great tars will fix a lot of that hopefully.

Yeah, pretty sure I'm at the limit of 410s, and I love it. Hopefully tars will make the difference. What I have now are pretty old.
