Finally got a chance to drink one of the beers that sent me. Cucumber, basil, juniper. 4.5/7. Since cucumber comes first in the title, I was expecting that to the be dominant flavor, but most of what I could taste was the juniper. That may just be my pallate though. Other than that, the beer was great. Smooth and easy to drink. Not overly hoppy, which was a plus for me since I'm not a huge fan of super hoppy beers.

Ambers too? There is a brew out here that I really love that is a "Hoppy Amber". I'm also not an IPA fan, but this blends the malt and the hops nicely.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2017 12:17 pmI tend to like malty stuff, belgians, stouts, porters and the like. not an ipa fan.

Well, the third batch of coolercuember is a sucess.
I was a little worried because when i cracked it open to put into secondary for clarifying it had some mold on the top of some of the cucumbers. For those that don't know, mold in beer = bad and usually results in a sour taste and a ruined batch. I had hope since there was no mold present through primary fermentation, and it was only a little after i added the fresh ingredients. The hope was since there was no sugar left for the mold to eat and cause the off flavors, I dodged a bullet.
I racked to secondary... and there was a little mold on the top. Gave it a shake to mix in and let the booze kill it off. It never came back.
Bottled one and put some gas on it to taste.
So... now i need a shitload of 2 liter bottles.
