I just bought an OEM compass mirror for the BEATR. $40

I've actually been thinking about that homelink mirror. about the garage door buttons, but I think it would be my only option to get a compass in the car, and I don't think it needs any sort of antenna. (Cars that come with the base HU have a dummy shark fin)
Not a fan of tearing into interior trim to run wires . Will have to watch several how to videos to decide if I think I can
Although, I did do a bit of it on my Mk6 when I installed a dash cubby, Euro switch with trigger wire, and a Double Apex usb port. Hmmmmm.....

Edit: Just saw your other reply. It would be a sweet upgrade, but it sure isn't cheap. However if you would actually use homelink I think that would lessen the blow.

I'm actually hoping the auto dimming feature works on the mirror I bought, and if it does hopefully the side mirrors will dim as well.

it seems worth the money to me... is a 10 year car owner guy, $23/year to have a feature you care about it worth it. Plus, auto dimming and Homelink don't suck either. Good suggestion.

Also, back to Trav's car search... I happen to have heard a rumor that he didn't and still drives a FiST, but :troywaxed: on other vehicular items
