Man sorry to hear it..... small solace perhaps, but at least you know your body is learning how to fight it.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 3:34 pm Got the J&J shot yesterday. Side effects have been kicking my ass with fever and chills.
Curious, what blood type do you have?

The side effects have been getting better. I may call out tomorrow, though.
So I received my second Pfizer stab on Friday morning as noted. It started off as par for the course, sore arm getting more and more sore throughout the day. I hit a weight lifting session after my shot, talking to the nurses, they actually said stimulating the muscle is a good move post shot.
So, we had plans to go out to a patio bar with my parents that evening to celebrate my birthday. Before the dinner, I started feeling really tired and had a bit of a headache. I toughed it out and cured it with a few beers. Come Saturday morning, my arm (and everything I had worked out) was more sore than usual, I slept poorly because of it. Well, I went out for a group bike ride Saturday morning, and despite being slower than my usual pace, it was rather tough for me. I ended up totally exhausted from a ride that normally would've been I continued to feel sore in the muscles I had worked out and a bit lethargic all weekend. I also slept fairly poorly ( if due to the vaccine).
Anyway, feeling a-OK today and pumped up to be vaccinated.
I completed a 6-11 shift at the vaccination clinic this morning and think I may sign on for some more shifts down the line as I've really enjoyed it. Four more "mandatory" ones that I've already committed to, 6-11 every Monday morning.

Good stuff. I'll add you to my tracking as mild side effects since it didn't really prevent you from keeping up your normal activities.D Griff wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 2:33 pm So I received my second Pfizer stab on Friday morning as noted. Updating to include me and 2 coworkers. All of us had Pfizer.
SECOND DOSE ONLY (or DOSE for J&J)
Moderna:
4 total.
2 peeps with very minimal reactions
2 with fatigue, soreness, and significant body aches beginning the evening of the 2nd shot and progressing to the point where one didn't come into work and the other one left early (these are both coworkers).
Pfizer:
9 total.
3 zero reaction.
3 minimal to moderate (headache, fatigue) I include myself here. I haven't had a headache yet, but do feel a bit fatigued the morning after.
1 fairly bad, starting with elevated heart rate and progressing the next day to a full day of extreme fatigue, significant body pain, cold sweats, headache. Totally fine by the third day.
1 (bossbro) VERY BAD. Got it Monday morning, didn't come back to work. Came in Tuesday but left early feeling very fatigued, achy, etc. Stayed home yesterday and today so far.
1 needed 1 day off feeling fatigued and some soreness. Came back to work second day mostly fine.
One-and-done J&J:
1 total. Extreme fatigue for almost 24 hours (described as like being on Nyquil all day). Came back to work the next day.
Nother update to include our own Grifballz.

Odd that I still only know of one person who had the J&J and still only 4 who got Moderna.

This is me so far after the 2nd shot yesterday. Feel like garbage, just like flu pretty much... of course I had the worst reaction so far of anyone I know, after spending the most time fighting to get an appointment and having to drive the furthest away.wap wrote:

And you'll start feeling a lot better beginning tomorrow, based on those that I've been following.

I just looked at the data, my temperature is about 100F and my resting heart rate is 80-90 bpm today vs 50-60 normally.wap wrote:Worth it,troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 11:18 am This is me so far after the 2nd shot yesterday. Based on my :sceince: sample size of 1, a female coworker, she had tachycardia for several hours, plus elevated temp, sweats, body aches, bad headache, etc, for almost a day and was mostly fine the next day.

The headache is the biggest problem for me now, it's been slowly building since this morning. Can't really sleep but have been alternating between laying in bed and sitting on the couch all day.wap wrote:troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 2:54 pm I just looked at the data, my temperature is about 100F and my resting heart rate is 80-90 bpm today vs 50-60 normally.

The wife had almost no reaction.
