Easier for searing after smoking, and more space w/o direct over coals placement. I think I want a good offset smoker that will hold more meat than I would normally cook, but may on occasion.

I think the BBQ/Smoker combo is good, but they really don't do both at the top of their game. I think the Kamados are amazing for grilling and even baking smaller stuff, but for multiple racks of ribs or multiple briskets they are a compromise.
Yep, for sure.

It works fantastic for my use, but I never do that much meat at the same time. Also agreed on searing after smoking, pretty tough to do on the Kamado.
Continue, Mr. Penguin.

I need to get out of the house and off the internet.

I've owned a watch for 24 hours and now I almost sent an offer in on this one: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=692560

I need to get some self control here, like now. Think I'm going to go whiskey shopping instead.
I'm on my last bag of peas.

Not a heart attack, :doe: Needed my aortic valve replaced due to a genetic defect.

Thanks for the kind words. The surgery by and large went pretty smoothly and the recovery is an ongoing process but is also going pretty well, all things considered. Just a couple of minor complications overall that were handled promptly. :like:

Had five projects I wanted to complete at work today, and just finished the last one of them. Feels good man. Four of the five will clear some shit that’s been outstanding from before I even joined the company. Last one was a newer project, trying not to let shit build up here like people in this position have in the past.

Hopefully that water main is fixed and I can go to the office tomorrow. Forgot my laptop charger there :derp:
I’d feel less useless in the office instead of sitting at home right now.
