The title says it all. I'm debating a convoy/cruise from the nations capital suburbs and head straight there. What say yeee for those who will partake in the mid-atlantic area?

i did not know of, so it's more like DFD partaking it, I always have thought it's a DFD thing. Thanks, i'll see if I can consider it around this time next year or earlier.[user not found] wrote:Just to minimize confusion, Deals Fap is a private event and isn't a DFD thing anymore which is why it's the trip that shall not be named around these parts.
If you want to spearhead a DFD-official trip (i.e. DFD does the Dragon, hence the new thread title), go for it. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. There are several of us on here who have been to the area many times with many different groups and know all the good roads and places to go, and things to see, and do. I've got maps that I can share and contact info for the AirBNB we rent (or other lodging recommendations to try).

DFD should do the dragon. I could suggest dates and times and places to stay.

Just requires planning, and we have gotten quite good at this.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 3:39 pmI'm curious to hear the review on the cabins you guys are staying in this year. It won't be dragon central, but being out towards Robbinsville and the Skyway isn't bad. Except the whole dry county bit.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 8:12 am DFD should do the dragon. Drove it in the rain at 12:30am in a crew cab diesel truck with shaky headlights, bald tires, and sloppy steering after being awake for 40 hours. That was the most stressed I may have ever been in a car.

Was behind schedule after breaking down in Louisville and had to get to our Airbnb tiny house, which the doggo was absolutely terrified of.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2019 8:07 pmBoy you got something the matter with you.

It felt like it took absolutely forever, and on multiple occasions the truck felt so long that it was too big for some of the tighter turns.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2019 8:27 pmYeah, I'd probably have just slept in the truck.
I don't particularly enjoy driving it at night - and I'm someone who grew up running backroads at night.
Problem is, you lose all of your visual checkpoints in the dark, and it all looks the same. You lose track of where you are easily.

In for
I’ve been here in NC for 5 months now, and have yet to drive the Dragon.

Is this happening?
Should be fewer on bikes this time a year without being too cold to enjoy the evenings.

I'm wishing that I lived closer, a DFD organized TOTD trip would be awesome. Those who could, should.Swedish Chef wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2019 1:08 pm Is this happening?
