Coming in hot later today after :hibachi: I’ll be driving one for about 1000 miles here in Maui.

So far ... major rental car downsides ... and other thoughts. I’ll start a bread in a bit. I am only about 100 miles deep into it, so I don’t want to do a disservice to DFD and write something I don’t feel 100% behind.

There was actually a rental car review thread here at one point... I've had a few and I think I've just thrown them in this chat recently, like the Si. This reminds me, I need to grab something for our honeymoon Keys trip.

Maui is a fun place to rent a car. We had this shitty Camaro but it was nice having a 'vert on the Road to Hana and other scenic drives, just for the 360 visibility.

It’s pissing buckets right now... we were going to Hana 6 am but it’s 100% rain in a place that gets sun 345/365 a year ... because reasons :mahtroy: luck

I found our somewhat rainy day drive to Hana was so easy as most people didn't seem to go. The road really wasn't that crowded, but when we got to Hana it was actually clear.

Unless you have a Jeep I would not recommend continuing on the road past Hana, just turn back. A lot of that road is a washboard dirt road and makes the drive feel many hours longer than it is.

We got absolutely pissed all over on one of the hikes:

But it was still a great time, less crowds may be nice as that road is loaded with :derp:

I’m not even talking about that it always rains there. I’m in Kihei where it’s supposed to be sunny almost all the time. Since there are epic micro climates on the island. I figured if it’s raining here ... Armageddon elsewhere

Ah.. We stayed in the up country of Kula and just drove everywhere else. I really couldn't stand Lahaina and the tourists. Kihei was nice though. Are you going to, or have you already been to Haleakala?

We drove around the top from Kapalua to Kahului and it was incredible, the views are out of this world and you will hardly see another soul. The road was "scary" according to :tits: :doe:

Yeah, it's a national park, incredible views, even on one cloudy day we went (we went twice). On the cloudy day we were above the clouds and the sights were pretty awesome.

If you like fresh fish, checkout Mama's Fish House in Paia. There are two of these restaurants, but we heard better reviews of the on in Paia and that's the one we went to.

About 1/4 mile up the road past the restaurant there's Ho'okipa Beach that gets a ton of sea turtles.

You should start new :bread: with your car reviews so they don't get lost here in car chat.

"Maxfax: A hot Russian take on the GLC300"

Let's hear your review.

I’ll add to it. It doesn’t need 500. But it needs around 300/350. To be honest it doesn’t even need 200hp, it just needs to have more torque it feels gutless and constantly revs to 4/5k keeping high with traffic

I think the fake amg has upper 300s and is probably a great overall package.

Morans that trust Tesla's beta (at best) implementation deserve what they get. Checking on their dog in the back seat? :wtf: Some people don't deserve the privilege of driving, let alone being allowed to consume air.

Waiting on the NTSB to shut them down until there is a solid test for these systems.

Those articles always piss me off because they always put the blame on Tesla vs the person.

Headline should be

“Useless meatbag who should have his license revoked plows into the back of a cop car, nearly killing himself, his dog and innocent police”
