So, I wanted to do something fun and spontaneous for my birthday weekend. Luckily, this destination was in my backyard. A friend from college, who moved up to the area for a job co-piloted the whole day. He is also the photographer who shot and edited these bad ass pictures.

Skyline Drive is a 105 mile scenic road that runs through the entire length of the Shenandoah National Park. We entered through the Front Royal entrance and drove until I-64/Blue Ridge Parkway entrance.

Enjoy these pictures. The experience was unforgettable. We had fog in bursts throughout the road and it provided for a spooky setting to take pictures in.

Did that drive a couple years ago and the Blue Ride Parkway drive the year before. 5/7 gorgeous scenery and a great drive, even if the posted speed limits are low.

Looks cool man. Nice shots of the GTI, especially the “mysterious” one.

Batch #2 in this post.

Another close up shot of the GTI

My friends say these two shots look like it's a Forza video game in "photography mode"

We climbed some rocks for this shot. Across from the Marys Run Tunnel ending (and waterfall).

Some shots of the beautiful nature surrounding us on the drive.

Contrast makes the red pop.

These last two are my favorite. They are the most cinematic photos of my car.

Dude, nice!

Love it, looks fun/beautiful, similar scenery to the parkway. Maybe we can do a Parkway :meat: up sometime.

I’d be down to do Skyline Drive. I think it’s equidistant between everyone. We could :meat: up at my apartment complex and drive there.

All credit goes to my friend who took and edited the pics. All I did was keep us alive and suggest some angles.

It's a haul though, DC area is like 6+ hours away. Def a possibility doe. Or we could just :meat: at the Summit Point race track near Shenandoah. I took my :turboyaris: there once and it was awesome.

Next time we do photos I will remove my front plate. Kind of sticks out like a sore thumb in some pictures.
