This isn’t unique to trucks, either.
Before I left Toyota, the 14-16 MY Camry and Rav had the same issue with torque converter shudder. The fix was a new TC and reprogram. Was 5.9 hours of labor to replace and reprogram at $110/hr warranty labor rate, and $800 in parts to fix.

Honestly,max225 wrote:Just to possibly beat a dead horse but, there seems to be something "wrong" with all the vehicles.... Just make sure it isn't the Jeeps have a quite a few driveability issues over the colorado, that may make you want to jump ship in yet another 6 months... And you like to make your cars "nice" and throw tires/wheels/accessories etc on them, which is REALLY tempting on the jeep side.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 7:30 pm This. I'm actually more worried about the issue impacting trade value given how widespread it is.
I have zero tolerance for it.
The whole "never buy an automatic but actually buy an automatic Jeep" is puzzling too and the 'rado is a much nicer vehicle in many ways.
But also, gonna , we all do it, so as long as you're happy, why not?

In hindsight, should've just kept the BF2. Can't take it back now, doe.
I've driven the Backcountry a couple times now, took it out for a long drive the first time, and drove it again for 20-30 miles today. I have no qualms with the way it drives. It's smoother than my truck and feels about as fast.
Some of it's - some of it's me being annoyed with the lack of fixes for stupid engineering issues. The B-pillar on the passenger side rattles, and it's structural. No fix for it yet, but "GM is looking into it." And the transmission shudder is just unacceptable.
I had a short chat with Dplac tonight about how issues like this aren't being addressed properly and it seems the is running short right now at GM.

I also enjoy the off-road stuff. Can’t do that with a Mazderp.

I mean, I love , I get it. I personally like a more "fun to drive" daily, but the Jeep will offer some other adventuring possibilities a car won't so, that's the trade off.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 11:55 pmThe automatic bit doesn't bother me. Daily gonna daily.

As has been pointed out, Z is not like the rest of us in terms of swapping cars. His transaction costs are minimal so he can afford to change cars for any reason or no reason at all.
